I will put a certain time to start playing the song above, but for the beginning, Potter Waltz is suggested. :)

I walked down the stairs, feeling the cool winter air hit my arms, raising goosebumps on my skin. The castle was decorated with holly wreaths and the usual floating candles that cast an orange glow on the walls. I had one hand on the staircase railing, another hand holding up the skirt of my dress. Everybody looked charming, and I grinned as I gazed at the different colored dresses and boys in their black and white dress robes. Then I saw Hermione, she looked absolutely lovely. Her hair was pulled back in tiny ringlets and her multilayered ruffled periwinkle dress made her look like a frozen drop of water. I waved at her from across the room. And then I saw Harry.

Harry's POV

I turned my head and felt myself go breathless. Y/N was walking down the stairs, a grin spread on her face. She was beautiful. Our eyes met, and I smiled, extending my hand as she came closer.

"Wow." Was all I could tell her and she laughed, blushing. We walked together to the entrance of the Great Hall, my arm interlocked with hers. We met with Ron and Parvati, who looked less than thrilled to be there wearing his "ancient" dress robes.

"You look beautiful, Y/N." said Parvati, complimenting Y/N.

"Thank you." She thanked Parvati, looking down at herself. Her red dress complimented her skin tone perfectly and I couldn't help but notice what good skin she had. I wrapped my hand around her waist, pulling her close. Then we saw Hermione. Ron had a bit of a shock, staring at her, as she was walking with Viktor Krum. We all conversed for a moment, getting ready for the ball when Professor McGonagall came up from behind me, touching my shoulder.

"Oh, there you are, Potter." She said, her voice sounding relieved, "Are you and miss Y/LN ready?"

"Ready, Professor?" I said, confused.

"To dance." She said in a matter of fact tone. "It's traditional that the three champions, well, in this case, four, are the first to dance."

"Surely I told you that." She added before I said, "No." I looked at Y/N. She was sorta smiling but her eyes were widened.

"Oh, well, now you know." McGonagall said before taking a look at Ron, "As for you Weasley, you may proceed into the Great Hall with Miss Patil."

She led me and Y/N to the entranceway of the Great Hall before arranging us and the three other champions and their partners into two single filed lines. A few moments later, we were ushered through the doors and into the halls. The rest of the students clapped as we walked in, looking to my right, I saw Y/N smiling at waving at her friends. I saw Arabella standing with Neville Longbottom, they did in fact look nice together.

We got to the end of the hall and stood in the middle of the dance hall. Y/N and I stared at each other for a few moments wondering what do to before she gasped and said,

"Harry take my waist."

"What?" I said, startled.

"My waist-" She stared, cut off as the music started, filling up the hall. I hastily placed a hand on her waist and grabbed her hand with mine. I was an awful dancer and tried my best to copy the rest of the champions. She didn't seem to mind and I gave a small smile as I lifted her into the air.

Y/N's POV

I felt Harry lift me into the air as the music surged through the hall. He was awful at dancing and I laughed at him every time I felt him step on my feet. It was cute, seeing him all flustered. He twirled me around and I blushed at the feeling of him against me. Our faces were almost touching and I started to close my eyes, my lashes fluttering against my cheek, leaning into a kiss. But then the song ended, and we pulled away, the crowd clapping for us. I glanced at him and saw him do the same. We gave each other a shared look before laughing and walking down to an empty table. We silently watched the rest of the school dance before talking.

"Beautiful, isn't it?" I said, gesturing to the ice-covered walls and corners with glittering Christmas trees. The ceiling showed the stars and I couldn't help but gape at the sky above. I didn't think I'd ever get used to the magic at Hogwarts.

"Yeah, you are." Harry said back. My eyes traveled back to him and I blushed again.

"Flirt." I said, innocently mocking him.

"Only with you, love." He said, grabbing my hand and giving it a kiss. He could be such a romantic sometimes. My eyes wandered back to the crowd and saw Ron dancing with Parvati, I snickered and said to Harry.

"Look at Ron. He can't keep his eyes off of Hermione." It was true, all I could see was Ron's eyes casting glares at Krum, and then softening when he saw Hermione, who seemed to be having the time of her life.

"Yeah, he can't," said Harry, also watching the duo. We chit chatted for another ten minutes before Harry asked if I wanted any refreshments. I gladly accepted and he kissed me on the cheek before getting up to get some punch. I sighed, smiling, tonight was perfect. I saw Arabella and Neville and waved at them to come over. They came hand in hand and I squealed at the sight of them, they were so cute.

"Hello, Y/N! Isn't tonight amazing?" Arabella said, her voice ecstatic.

"It is." I said, laughing at her enthusiasm, I had never seen her so happy before. I said hello to Neville and then watched them go back to the dance floor. Then Harry came back and gave my drink. I sipped it, savoring the sweet flavor.

"Do you want to go dance again?" Asked Harry, extending his hand to me, standing up.

"You know what? I actually would love that." I replied, grabbing his hand. We set off into the crowd, dancing. I felt my face become red with heat as we danced. Then the Weird Sisters came on stage and the whole school went crazy. They were a popular wizarding band and the crowd basically did a mosh pit as they performed on stage. I threw my hands in the air and let myself go. I felt euphoric and I grabbed Harry's hand, putting in the air with mine. His hair was already messed up and I couldn't help myself as I practically threw myself at him and gave him a fervent kiss. When I pulled back, his face was flushed red and I grinned, backing out of the crowd. Waiting for him to follow me.

*Start Song (2:30 ish for me) *

I stood outside the Great Hall, letting the fresh air cool down my hot skin. I couldn't remember the last time I had had such a great time before. I felt a pair of hands cover my eyes and a fake deep voice say, "Guess who it is."

"Hmm, I don't know." I said sarcastically, "It is, the chosen one." I replied, mocking his popular title.

"Ah, and it is." Harry said, freeing his hands from my face. I turned around and then sat on the ground. He followed suit and we sat there, resting. We didn't need to speak, being next to each other gave us this sense of tranquility. I don't know how long we sat there, listening to the muffled sounds of the music playing from the hall. Occasionally, a few older couples left the hall and went up to their dorms, getting ready to do lord knows what. It was almost 11 o'clock when I stood back up and this time, asked Harry for one last dance. He took my hand, and we walked back into the Hall, standing almost alone in the middle of the room.

A muggle song was playing from the amplified speakers and I put my arms around Harry's neck, resting my head against his chest. He wrapped his arms around my body and leaned his head into me. We slow danced for some time, swaying side to side. I let my eyes close, seeing a comforting inky blackness. Harry's fingers traced circles into my side and I let out a sigh, feeling simply, happy. Then I realized it, the three-letter realization. You know that one. The song ended and we found Ron and Hermione, silently chatting away. Hermione was glowing and Ron? Well, he had seen better days.

"You guys ready for another round?" I asked, taking off my awful heels and holding them in my fingers.

"It can't get worse." said Ron, stripping off the first layer of his robes.

"Well, Fred and George never disappoint." chimed in Harry, winking at me. So then the four of us, walked back up to the Gryffindor common room, ready for the Weasley twins after-party.
