Cassidy's POV:

The November chill sent shivers down my spine. A reminder that Winter will be here soon and ironically enough my least favorite season.

Despite my last name, Winter was not as appealing to me as one might have hoped. I wasn't able to romanticize the idea of making snowmen and sliding down hills of white cushion.

In all, I couldn't bear the cold. Not when it came from the weather. Or from the tone of students around campus. They spoke with hushed words believing they were subtle when they were anything but.

Ron had luckily not joined the bandwagon on the Hate-Harry train. In fact, it seemed as though he were almost as bothered by it as Harry himself.

"It's outrageous is what it is!" He had exclaimed as we passed a few Hufflepuffs who stared at us without falter.

Wanting to help the situation as much as I could, I asked Hermione to help teach Harry the summoning charm with me.

Unfortunately, it seemed I was not the patient type. Hermione was much more able to teach than I was seeing as she also knew how to explain things easily- when she wasn't using big words.

School was becoming increasingly painful. With Malfoy taking every opportunity to sneer and dig at us, it was becoming much harder to want any sort of familial relationship with him.

Speaking of family, the trio and I also managed to send Dad a letter about the situation- not including the part about how the majority of the school hates Harry now.

We did our best to ignore the badges that read 'Potter Stinks' and 'Support Cedric Diggory, The Real Hogwarts Champion' but everyone was wearing them.

Detention and I grew to be great friends as I skipped Moody's classes, pranked a few rude students, and even told off a few people who were taunting Harry about Rita Skeeter's new article in the Daily Prophet.

Each and every article that came out gave a lurch in my stomach that cried for me to return to my tree. But I didn't waver. Not once. I was determined to put my issues aside because I knew that Harry was getting the brunt force of it.

November was already almost over and Harry had perfected the summoning charm allowing us- Hermione- to teach him hexes and jinxes that would help him in the third task.

He didn't question it when I suggested we grasp more material. Harry could already tell by looking at me that we were doing it because I knew something he didn't.
