Cassidy's POV:

The next few weeks were filled with an abundance of roses and giggling girls. As the Winter Ball drew closer and closer, more ladies were getting asked to go to the Ball.

Many of the students had managed to pull off a sort of prom-posal for their intended date. It was all quite sickening really.

I mean, don't get me wrong, I get that everyone can be excited, but I also can't help the bitterness feeling when I see them hug and smile till their jaws hurt.

Okay, so maybe it's jealousy but that's beside the point-

Teachers had taken the excitement of the Yule Ball as a bullet in the brain considering many students were too distracted by the upcoming event to pay attention in class.

Flitwick just gave up trying to teach while Snape set up a test on the day before break begins.

"Evil he is," Ron commented while playing Exploding snap in the common room. "Springing a test on us on the last day. Ruining the last bit of term with a whole load of studying."

"Ah, yes...studying," I echoed with a cheeky smile while I gesture to his cards. I was busy eating chocolate frogs on the couch with my legs on Harry's lap.

"Cass, you're not doing any studying either!" Harry pointed out.

"Why would I have to study? They're going to have to keep me around anyway!" I shrugged. "When I dreamed of going to Hogwarts, I only meant the fun things, not the homework and school."

"Hogwarts is a school," Hermione said.

"You know what I meant!" I huffed with a smile still plastered on my face. I continued to open another chocolate frog package before biting into it.

"Can I have one?" Harry asked.

I acted as though I were in deep thought before saying, "Nope" popping the 'p'.

"You're incredibly mean, Phoenix," Harry muttered.

"Phoenix?" Ron questioned but his question was left unanswered because at that exact moment he placed two cards on his castle that ended up blowing up and singeing off his eyebrows.

"Nice Look, Ron... go well with your dress robes, that will," Two voices say in synchronization.

Only the twins could manage such perfection in their matched-up words. They sit down at the table with Ron while I giggled at him, his fingers reaching for his eyebrows.
