There's a group this week, four solos, and an unaired trio. The soloists are Chloe, Nia, and Kenzie. The dancers on the trio are Maddie, Chloe, and Brooke, and everyone's in the group.
•Two Days To Competition•
We were all in the Dancer's Den, moms included.
"Mom, I wonder if that girl's coming today." Kendall comments.
"If I had to make to make a guess, I'd say, uh-huh." Jill says.
"I can't believe that she had that on her shirt." Kelly says.
"It said Black--"
"It said Black Patsy."
"I'm White Christi."
"You're Black Holly."
"Can you imagine? Like, what is she talking about?"
I sit beside Chloe and we look at each other confused by the moms' conversation. The door opens and a mom and a new girl come in. Everything goes silent and we start stretching.
"What do you want the girls to call you?" Jill asks Nicaya.
"My nickname is Nini." She answers.
"Oh, they call you Nini?"
"I'll call you Laquifa now." Kendall chuckles.
Awkward.
"Laquifa."
"What?"
"Come on girls." Miss Abby comes inside, "Let's go, let's go, let's go."
We all go to studio A and start rehearsing the group number.
The group dance is about being in an as-- asy-- asylum and I don't understand.
Paige had to leave because of her doctor's appointment, she'll hopefully be off the boot when she comes back!
•Competition Day•
All I need is friends,
But I don't really have them
Okay, I mean I really have them,
I just don't have them where I am
It's because of my job
I travel around a lot
And I don't exactly get to call the shots
But I thought it was going to be
Glitz and glamour
I was gonna meet Madonna,
Maybe do an opening set for her
"Please welcome from Abby Lee Dance Company, this is Nia performing to '20's Scat'."
Nia's solo costume looked great, she was also great, as usual. One solo left.
"Please welcome from Abby Lee Dance Company, this is Mackenzie. She'll be performing to 'Hollywood'."
One more boring minute of my life
It's like I'm stuck here in a maze now
Nothing ever changes, going crazy
Yeah, I need a little break
Spinnin' round in circles, 'round in circles in my mind
I just close my eyes and I can see that perfect sign
Countdown to adventure, new direction
Take me to my favorite place

"Hey, guys, I need everybody dressed, I haven't even said who is in the dance and who isn't in the dance!"
"This makeup is amazing." Chloe whispers, "It looks so real."
"That's the point, Chlo." Maddie tells Chloe.
"All right, let's go over the dance one last time." Miss Abby tells us and we all get together.
We start going over the dance as Miss Abby look at us.
"Make the head move!"
Once we finish, we all sit down as everyone looks at Miss Abby, waiting for her to say who's dancing, Paige or Nicaya.
"We're all doing the dance." She announces, "Let's go, you didn't come 3000 miles to sit on your butt."
I'm the voice of experience.
We all start our way backstage and it's all awkward, we just have not got used to have Nicaya around, but we'll get used to it, right?
"Please welcome the Abby Lee Dance Company, 'I See the Kite Flying'." The announcer says and we all go on stage.
The sky was so blue that it wasn't blue any longer
The sky ascended our spectrum and forged its own definition of blue
Every time that sky goes back into my mind, the colors shift
The blue gets blue-er and the horizon widens
The ink spot in that new blue sky was my kite
As I raised it higher into the atmosphere
I felt like I was riding the wind and disappearing into the new blue distance
But my feet were hard on the ground
Awards were definitely interesting, the group and trio won, but none of the solos did. Chloe's was fifth, Nia's was tenth, and Kenzie's was third.
Two weeks until nationals.
