This week, I didn't have anything to do with the show dances, but I was going to go to another competition, on New York. Problem? I've never traveled alone.
"You guys can stay with us." Klara offers us as Emma and I try to come up with a plan, "They all get along well."
"I'm gonna ask my mom." I tell them, "If you come with me."
"Fine by me." Emma says.
"All right." Klara smiles and the three of us rush up to Dance Jail.
"We have to tell you something." I tell Mommy as the three of us stand in front of her.
"Wonder what that's about." Holly comments as all of the moms chuckle.
"What is it?" Mommy asks.
"So we have a competition this weekend." Emma starts.
"And it is in New York." Klara continues.
"I wanted to know if I could stay with Klara's mom for when we go, if I can go." I finish and proceed to make puppy eyes, "Pleeeeease."
Mommy looks over to Klara.
"Is your mom going?" Mommy asks and Klara nods.
"Yes." She answers, "She'll be there."
Mommy looks back at me and I smile nervously.
"You can go." Mommy says and the three of us high-five.
Step one, done.
•Competition Day•
We were all waiting backstage, we just wouldn't shut up, so a lot of people had to tell us to shut up. It wasn't nice.
"We have to win." Emma tells us, "Show Abby that we're amazing, and we're the favorites!"
"Shh!"
"I don't think it's that easy." Klara tells her, "But we can always try."
"Next up to the stage is act number 27, 'When Love Takes Over'." The announcer says and we go on stage.
