Third Person POV

"Come on, boys!" Race shouts, voice emotionless as he flips the light on. "It's time to go carry the banner!" He tells them.

"Cause you sound so excited to do that..." Henry comments, propping his head up in his hands and rubbing his eyes.

Race rolls his eyes, flipping the blanket off of Mush.

His eyes widen when he sees Blink laying with Mush, both of them shirtless.

Race stares at them, before rolling his eyes. "Up, lovebirds!" He places the blanket back over them.

"You're almost worse than Albert and Finch." He mutters as he walks away.

Blink and Mush turn bright red.

Finch sits up in his bunk. "What's that supposed to mean, Racecar?" He questions.

Race rolls his eyes, picking Lucky up in his arms. "Not my name." He responds. "I just mean that you aren't even dating and you're like a sickly cute couple already." He tells them.

Blush dusts the two boys' cheeks, both of them avoiding each other's eyes as they get up to get ready.

"Cause you're dating someone." Blink scoffs, slipping his undershirt on.

Race rolls his eyes again. "I'm all good with staying single." He responds. "It means I don't have to deal with you all bugging me about it."

"That is a plus to being single." Specs responds, propping his head up. "Not that I am single." He laughs a bit, reaching over and ruffling Romeo's hair.

Romeo smiles.

Race looks at the little in his arms and smiles. "Good morning to you." He sings softly.

All of the boys go silent to listen to his singing.

"We live in a literal zoo." He chuckles softly, rocking Lucky in his arms. "You look like a little monkey, and Finch smells like one too." He finishes.

The boys laugh.

Finch rolls his eyes. "Rude." He mutters.

"You know I'm joking." Race responds, chuckling. "I make up a new one every morning." He reminds him.

Finch rolls his eyes again, putting his vest on and buttoning a few of the buttons on it.

Lucky laughs a bit, his eyes closed.

"Come on, Luck." Race tells him softly. "It's time to get up and ready for the day."

Lucky opens his eyes slowly. "I'm tired..." he whispers groggily, trying to snuggle into Race's arms.

"I know, bud." Race responds gently. "We're all tired, but we gotta get up and ready for the day. Who knows, maybe you'll get a friend soon, or we can go see a Queensie, Bronxsie, or Woodside Newsie." He tells him.

"Can I visit Tumbler?" Lucky asks softly.

Race purses his lips, looking over at Specs.

Specs bites his lip, looking to Jack.

Jack, who stood in the doorway, ready for the day, thinks for a moment, before nodding.

Specs nods at Race.

Race turns back to Lucky with a small smile. "Let me talk to Skittery today and we'll see when you can see Tumbler, okay?" He tells Lucky.

Lucky smiles, hugging Race, with his arms around his neck. "Thank you." He whispers against his neck.
