Third Person POV

Race quickly gets up.

The Deluca brothers glare at them, before banging their bats and starting towards them.

Race quickly runs over to the papers in the carriage, helping grab a stack of them.

"It's time these kids learn a lesson." A scab states, a bat in his hand.

Romeo starts towards him, looking angry.

Jack stops him.

Race pulls Romeo back towards the other boys and few girls, all of their eyes on Jack.

"Newsies..." Jack starts slowly. "Get 'em!" He shouts.

Chaos broke out.

Race, along with a good amount of other Newsies, throws his stack of papers at the scabs.

Multiple scabs try to catch the papers.

Race watched a stack hit one of them in the face.

He silently cheered.

Race runs forward, immediately getting into a fight with one of the Deluca brothers.

Ethan Deluca.

He was the younger brother between the two, about Oscar's age, while Aiden was about Morris' age.

Ethan immediately starts trying to kick Race down.

Race only fights back, grabbing Ethan's foot and pushing it away.

Ethan quickly regains balance, throwing a bunch towards Race's head.

Race ducks, another scab, who had been trying to sneak up on Race, getting hit in the jaw by the punch.

The scab shouts in pain, dropping his weapon as he falls to the ground.

Race pulls out his blade.

Ethan pulls out his brass knuckles. "How's it going, Racer?" He asks with a sneer.

Race stares at him. "You know," his eye caught Weasel, who was leaving, causing Race to smile slightly. "Better without you here, but I'm always up for a fight."

Ethan smirks. "If anything, I'm a challenge you can't beat." He responds cockily.

Race looks him up and down. "Challenge?" He starts. "No."

Ethan scowls.

"More like an annoying sore that I can never get rid of." Race comments.

Ethan throws a punch at Race's face again.

Race was only slightly too slow to duck, the punch hitting his head instead of hit jaw.

"Ow..." Race mutters, rubbing his sore head.

Since he wasn't paying attention, he didn't see Ethan's kick.
