Kartik closed his eye and as soon as the needle touched his skin he held naira's hand tightlyat first naira was startled by his action but then understood that it was just impulsive and unintentional..... the doctor left after giving the injection but kartik was still sitting there holding her hand and with closed eyes......
N: kartik aakhe kholo..... ho gya....
K:(opening his eyes)ho gaya..... (he realised that he is holding her he immediately let go of her hand) sorry....voh....
N:(smiling) its ok....
N(thinking) vaise ye itna bura bhi nahi h isse dosti kar lu.... ha yahi thik rahega...
K: umm..... toh mai chalta hu ab.....
N: nahi tum abhi kam se kam do ghante tak kahi nahi jaa sakte..... doctor ne mana kiya h
K: toh mai yaha kaise.... vo... ye tumhara room h na.... mai apne room me chala jata hu na bagal me hi toh h....N: nahi chup chap yahi rest kar do teen ghante baad mai khud hi nikal dungi.....(smirking)samjhe
K: nahi nahi... mai jata hu.... tumhe problem ho jaegi.....(he started to get up from the bed)
N: seedhe seedhe samajh nahi aata.... yahi rest karo nahi toh tumhari tange tod k haath me de dungi....
K: achha thik h.....
he lay on the bed and closed his eyes and slept naira left him there and went out for some work..... she came back after one and a half hour... he was still sleeping..... she came inside the room and saw him sleeping....
N: ye mendak jab tak aise shanti se rehta h tabhi tak thik lagta h.... lekin jaise hi apni tar tar chalu karta h man karta h ki muh tod du.....
after about 20 min. he woke up..... naira gave him glass of water he drank it......
N: kaise ho ab??
K: hmm abhi pehle se better lag raha h...... thik h fir mai chalta hu...
N : hmmm
Kartik started wearing his shoes and getting ready to leave
N: Kartik....
K: hmmm(looking up)
N:(extended her hand) dost banoge tum mere??
K: huh.... kya kaha tumne??
N: dost banoge mere.......
K: (smiling and shaking hands with her) zarur kyu nahi..... lekin dosti k kuch rules honge
N: ok.... toh bato kya h rules....
K: hum dono apni koi bhi problem ek dusre se nahi chupaenge........
N: done....
K: dosti me no sorry no thank u
N: done
K: kya done done kiye ja rahi ho.... tumhe koi rule nahi banana.....
N: ha ek h.....
K: kya???
N: tum mujhe ye miss rishikesh, jwalamukhi aur sherni nahi bulaoge.....
K: agar aisa h toh tum bhi mujhe mendak nahi bulaogi.....
N: nahi mai toh bulaungi
K: areee ye kya baat hui.... toh fir mai bhi bulaunga....
N: achha thik h sherni bula lena par vo.... miss rishikesh aur jwalamukhi nahi
K: ok done.....
they smiled at eachother and then kartik left...... few more days passed they became best of friends the rashan used to come every week but they were not able to find out who is sending them help..... one day they decided to go out for the picnic with the children..... they did all the preparation and were ready to go....
N: kartik...suno na
K: hmm bolo
N: aaj jeep mai chalau.....
K: jee nahi..... baarish hui h kal roads geeli hongi..... its dangerous
N: please na..... chalane do na... please please please(making a cute pout)
K:(smiling at her cute attics) achha thik h lo chala lo(giving the keys)
N: thank u thank u thank u mendak u are the best.....
they all sat in the jeep..... kartik sat on the pessanger seat...... they were singing songs and going but suddenly a group of boys came on other jeep.... they were driving besides them and were passing bad comments
B1: oye hoye.... kya mast maal h......
B2: ha be.... par dekh uske bagal me uska boyfriend baitha h.....
B3: abe vo kya karega.... gadi bhi ladki se chalva raha h....
N: iski toh mai...
K: naira shant raho.... unpe dhyan mat do vo nashe me h....
B2: aaja baby race laga le humare saath agar thodi si bhi himmat h toh.... nahi tere is yaar me toh buta hi nahi h ladne ka
Naira speeded the jeep..... kartik was trying to stop her but she was not listening..... the children were scared..... they were crying but she wasn't stopping..... suddenly a truck came in front of the jeep..... kartik held the steering and turned it to the other side......... and pulled the hand break...... the jeep stopped with a jerk.... kartik looked back to see if everyone is fine he was hell angry on Naira..... he held her hand and took her to some distance......
K: (shouting)tum pagal ho gyi ho..... dimak nahi h tumhare andar...... kya kar rahi thi ye
N: (shouting back) meri koi galti nahi h vo log kyo comment pass kar rahe the.....
K:galti tumhari nahi h..... ha sari galti meri h jo tumpar vishwas kar k tumhe chabi dedi..... thoda sa gussa control nahi kar payi tum..... ha....
N: usne mujhe challenge diya tha aur tumhare bare me itna bura bura kaha tha..... mai kaise chup baithti.....
K: achha toh unhone challenge diya aur tumne accept bhi karliya..... bina ye soche samjhe ki gadi me itne saare bachhe baithe h...... unn sabki jaan ko kaise khatre me daal sakti ho tum kisne hak diya tumhe ye..... ki tum unki jaan k sath khelo..... aree unke koi maa baap nahi h....koi peeche se rone wala nahi h lekin unki jaan bhi keemti h..... kaise bhool gayi tum ye..... vaise toh badi gyan ki baate karti ho ab kaha gyi sari samajhdari??? dekho unn bachho k chehre...... kitna darr kaye h vo.....
Naira was crying...... tears were continuously flowing out of her eyes...... kartik was angry but there were tears in his eyes also.... he was hell scared about the life of the children and Naira.... he losen the grip and naira went towards the children who were crying very badly...... she hugged all of them and said sorry to everyone except kartik..... he was sitting on the rock on the roadside.... he was angry, upset, and scared at the same time....... he went to the jeep and asked everyone to drink some water and be ready to go back to aashram...... he too took out one water bottle and went aside and washed his face.......
they were driving back to the aashram this time kartik was driving the jeep...... the drive was silent...... naira was upset with kartik but was steeling glances of his expressionless face.....she was not liking this gloomy and angry kartik at all........ kartik left all of them to aashram and went to his house......
