leap of few days
It was the Night before the competition both Kartik and Naira were sitting on the ghat in each other's embrace talking to each other.......
N: kartik mujhe bohot nervousness ho rahi hai......
K: aree yaar tum tension kyu le rahi ho?? mai hu na aur tumne jab itni practice kari hai toh tumhe nervous hone ki zarurat hi nahi hai.....
N: vo toh thik hai but ab ho rahi hai toh kya karu???
K: deep breath...... one breath at a time......
she does as he said.......suddenly kartik got a call , he picked up
on call...
K: hello....
K: yes....... I am kartik.....
K: ok..... thank you so much....
K: tomorrow?? are you sure there is no other date???
K: ok fine.....
K: good night....
he ended the call and now he was anxious and was confused....... Naira saw him tensed so she asked.....
N: kya hua kartik?? itne pareshan kyu dikh rahe ho???
K: ha......vo.... nahi...... matlab..... mai vo.......
N:(cupping his face) meri aakho me dekho aur batao kya hua hai??
K:(holding her hands in his hands and looking into her eyes) Naira.....vo maine tumhe kuch time pehle bataya tha na ki mai ek dusri company mein job k liye apply kar raha hu......
N:(listening carefully) ha....
K: uss job k liye mujhe interview k liye bulaya hai.......
N:(very happy and excited) whatt!! wow kartik......... ye toh bohot achhi baat hai...... mai tumhare liye bohot khush hu kartik......I am so happy.....(hugging him tightly)
he smiled faintly looking at her excitement......... she broke the hug.....
N: par tum mujhe khush kyu nahi dikh rahe ho?? kya baat hai kartik??
K: batane toh do puri baat..... pehle hi uchalne lag gayi tum toh.....
N: achha thik hai batao......
K: voh..... mujhe interview k liye kal hi jana padega...... Haridwar.......
N: (little sad) oh.... toh ye wajah thi...... tumhe kal hi jana padega........
K: ha Naira..... maine unse pucha bhi ki koi aur date pe nahi ho sakta toh unhone kaha ki ye last date hai..... iske baad unki company mein job vacancies next 2 years tak khatam ho jaengi...... mai tumhare saath rehna chahta hu...... tumhara saath dena chahta hu...... vo moment dekhna chahta hu jab tumhe stage par prize milega...... jab sab tumhe appriciate kar rahe hoge tumhare liye clapping aur hooting kar rahe honge........ toh maaine socha hai ki kal main......
N:(keeping her hand on his mouth) nahi tum kal jaoge...... aur that is final.....
K: Naira par..... tumhara competition......vo bhi toh kal hi hai mai kaise jaa sakta hu.....
N:(holding his hands) jana padega kartik..... mera competition important ho sakta hai but tumhare sapne se zyada nahi, tumhare future se zyada nahi...... mujhe pata hai ki ye job tumhare liye kya maeene rakhti hai...... kitna time aur mehnat lagi hai tumhe iss job ko pane k liye...... aur ab jab vo mauka aaya hai toh tum peeche kyu hatt rahe ho?? mai janti hu tumhara bohot mann tha mera dance dekhne ka...... aur mai bhi yahi chahti thi ki tum mere saath raho but mai aisa kabhi nahi chahungi ki tum apni dream job chodkar meri khushi k liye competition dekhne aao..........
K:(teary eyed) par Naira...... tum bhi toh kitni nervous ho kal k liye tumhe sambhalne k liye mera hona toh zaruri hai na......
N: Mai khud ko sambhal lungi kartik jaise itne saal sambhala vaise hi ek din aur sambhal lungi...... lekin ye golden opportunity tumne meri wajah se chodi iss baat ka guilt puri zindagi nahi sambhal paungi....... tum jaoge kal aur inter view dekar aaoge...... samjhe??
Kartik was just staring at her lovingly all the time she was speaking....... he took her into a tight hug......
K: thank u Naira mujhe samjhne k liye........ aur samjhane k liye..... mai samajh nahi paa raha tha ki mujhe kya karna chahiye...... tum mere sapne k liye ye sab..... kya kahu mai Naira mere kuch samajh nahi aa raha hai.......
N: mai tumse pyar karti hu kartik...... tumhara sapna agar adhura reh gaya toh mujhe sabse zyada dukh hoga......
K:ek sawal puchu??
N: hmm.....
K: tum mujhse itna pyar karti ho fir bhi mujhe kal interview k liye khud se durr bhej rahi ho??
N: Voh Pyar Hi Kya jo Apno Ko Aage Badhta Hua Na Dekh Sake..........
K:(smiling) Thank you so much for coming into my life....... you are the best thing that has ever happened to me....... I Love you soo much Naira......
N: I love you too kartik........
they broke the hug and sat there for some more time and then decided to go back to their respective home...... on their way to home....
K: Naira ab ujhe bohot nervousness ho rahi hai........
N: kartik.... tum kyu itne nervous ho rahe ho...... tumhe toh sabkuch aata hai dekhna tumhara selection ho jaega.......
K: pakka??
N: ha baba pakka...... aur ha tum meri tension matt lena...... apne Interview par dhyan dena..... aur abhi jake soo jana nahi toh kal late ho jaoge uthne me.....
K: ok mam...... any other order for me??
N: no..... you can go and sleep now......
they reached the aashram gate and Naira said bye to him and was about to leave when he hold her wrist and pulled her towards himself due to which her hands rested on his chest and he held her from her waist and pulled her near himself.......
N:(gasping) kartik.... kya kar rahe ho...... koi...
K:(cutting her off)(mimicing her) koi aa jaega........ koi dekh lega...... kabhi toh kuch naya bolo..... humesha wahi line bolti rehti ho......
N: hato........ besharam....
K: achha bye bye kiss toh dedo.......
Naira just smiled and kissed him on his both cheeks and he smiled at this and cupped her face and kissed her forehead, they hugged each other and mouthed I Love You to each other and she went inside.... he saw her retreating back and smiled and went to his house.........
