Everyone was so shocked when they learned that Marcus Schmidt was inside the church; they even commended my grandmother for she was able to invite the young hotelier. And of course! I was dumbfounded by the fact that my boyfriend accepted the invitation only for me.

"You really have a thing for surprises, huh?" kaswal kong bulong sa ka-partner ko na para bang ngayon ko lang siya nakadaupang-palad.

Aware that the other guests were looking at us, I tried to calmed my nerves and held onto him properly. I knew that my grandmother had a knack of befriending a lot of business tycoons for the sole purpose of business itself. But I didn't expect that she would dare to invite Marcus here.

Marcus pressed my hand secretly before he lowered his head down to whisper. "Sorry, I know you're uncomfortable. I accepted your grandmother's invitation because as your boyfriend, I thought it was necessary for me to be at one of the most important occasions in your family. I could also feel like you're not yet ready to introduce me, so I didn't tell her anything about our relationship."

I didn't know he felt that way.

I sighed and looked into his eyes. "No, it's okay. I'm just overwhelmed, that's all. I was kinda hoping that you were here and it really happened so..."

He nodded his head and caressed my hand to help me calm down. Avoiding my gaze, he glanced at the other side to hide his smile. He narrowed his eyes like he finally understood it.

"We'll see..."

The orchestra version of Beautiful in White was playing in the background. It was such a beautiful song and the fact that the whole place was filled with white and blush pink flowers was truly magical.

The teary-eyed Denver Oropeza received a clap as he made his way to the altar. Even the parents of the bride and groom couldn't help but feel emotional, too. And my grandmother was trying to keep her cool as she was being watched by some pair of eyes right now.

Everything was going according to plan until Jamaica decided to embarrass herself by smashing her face on the floor.

"What is it? What happened?" Ilang saglit pa ay nagsalita ulit siya. "Oh, my God! Can she walk?!"

"My gosh! That hurts!" sabi ng isang bridesmaid.
