We spent a few days in Berlin to meet Marcus' friends and went back to Frankfurt for departure as planned. There, Tita Melanie and Tito Michael sent us off and promised to visit us in the Philippines and to help with the wedding preparations.

Speaking of weddings, I was chosen as one of Kirsten's bridesmaids. Of course, it was an honor.

"She already sent out the invitations? Oh, my gosh! May I see?!"

I just got home from a dinner date and Bridgette already recognized the envelopes in my hand.

"This is yours," I said and she squealed so loud.

She jumped off the sofa and snatched the envelope from my hand. "Oh, my God! For real?! I swear if you're trying to fool me—"

"Why would I do that?" "You're one of the luckiest fans who got invited to Kirsten Buenaflor's wedding. Marcus knew how much you adore and idolize his sister, so he probably mentioned you to her."

Maluha-luhang tumalungko si Bridgette sa harapan ko. "And how did he know that?"

I smiled at my best friend. "Because I told him..."

"Oh, my God! You're the best! Thank you, Olga! Thank you so much!"

Ngumisi ako at kinotongan siya. "Gatecrash pala, huh? You'd even break the law for your silly antics! But you have the invitation, so you don't have to get yourself into trouble."

That made me smile again 'cause her happiness matters to me.

Sa gabing iyon ay maaga akong natulog dahil may pasok ako kinabukasan. But I never thought I'd wake up in the middle of the night when a hard force rocked the building and sent intense vibrations to my bed that made me get up and hide.

"Olga! Olga! Are you okay?" it was seconds later when Bridgette knocked.

"It was the worst earthquake I had ever experienced so far!" ani Bridgette na napayuko na lang sa gulat.

I gently tapped her shoulder. "Calm down, Bridge. Nasa'n si Warren? Alis muna tayo dito..."

I hope there are no casualties."

I took out my phone again to look for some news. A magnitude 7.8 earthquake struck San Isidro, Leyte. A video was circulating on the internet, showing the aftermath. The place was so dark and the wailing was haunting me. A lot of people in the background were crying and asking for an immediate response 'cause some of them were trapped, injured, and dead.
