I was so tired not just from the trip, but anyway...

I got up slowly and carefully 'cause Marcus was still sleeping beside me. It was 5:30 in the morning here in Munich, while it was already 12:30 p.m. in the Philippines. I, then, connected my phone to the internet and the notifications popped up non-stop.

Bridgette was online by the time I replied to her.

Thank goodness it went well! 🤣

Send pics, please.

May handaan ba diyan ngayon or kakain kayo sa labas?

Puro sausage diyan, bakla!

I shared everything included in our plans today. Last night, Tita Melanie told me that we'd go to a marketplace to grab some of the ingredients for lunch.

From my observation, I could say that Germans are extremely punctual and well-mannered.

In the heart of Munich at Marienplatz Square, Tita Melanie guided us to a restaurant where we would try the white sausages, pretzels, local bread, and a pint of beer.

"Here in München, people normally drink alcohol for breakfast. Well, not for average brunch, but there will always be a glass of sparkling wine included," Tita Melanie explained after the beer was served.

Inamoy 'yon ni Kirsten. "I heard there are more wine drinkers than beer drinkers. Is it true, Mom?"

"This is the home of Oktoberfest. Maybe, in some part of Germany, but not in this place where people loves to drink beer," sagot niya at iniumang sa akin 'yung beer ko.

I tried the beer and it went down to my throat smoothly. It almost has like a velvety texture in it, which I loved; it wasn't as strong as I expected. Tiyak na magugustuhan din ito ni Bridgette.

"The annual Oktoberfest is on September. I'll check my schedule if I can attend the most awaited event in Munich." Kirsten turned her head to my side. "It would be so much fun if you can make it as well, Olga."

"I'm not yet sure, but I'll see..."

Marcus surely have seen a lot of dirndl-clad women serving beer in large tankards during Oktoberfest. Although he wasn't much of a drinker, it would be amazing if we could go there with his family.

While strolling around, Tita Melanie told us a little backstory about the city. München was derived from the word "Mönch" that meant monk if translated to English. It was also depicted on the city's coat of arms.

"Marcus treasures this place. "We were supposed to watch you grow up here, too, but it's all in the past now. Ang mahalaga'y nandito ka na..."
