Groceries

"Good morning" Henry's deep voice echoed in your ear wrapping his arms around your hips as you stood in front of the refrigerator

You had a hand on his and the other on the door of the open fridge as you scrunched your eyebrows in irritation. you were out of food. You were wondering how you even let it happen and remembered how you got a call from Henry the night before letting you know he was returning home from tour you had gotten so excited and you totally forgot to stock up.

Henry walks in and says good morning to you. "hmm? morning Henry " you mumbled

Henry shifted his head to the side and looked inside the fridge only to see two milk bottles and a pack of carrots. You laughed nervously and shuffled out of his grasp he stared at you even more confused

"uh" you started then smiled "we're out of food"

Henry chuckled "Yeah I noticed"

you sighed and shut the fridge plopping yourself on the dining chair

"I'll go get groceries and we can make some French toast" Henry said opening the fridge again "We don't even have eggs?"

you shook your head in humiliation and defeat. You just loved to cook simple meals for him and enjoyed the look on his face when he savoured each bite but with him gone for so long you ended up eating all those things and just when you were about to restock he had come home

"Let's go together" you smiled while the sleep still evident on your face.

Henry walked over to you and cupped your face

"Let's get going then sweetheart" Henry said kissing your lips

You both had gone to the nearest grocery shop in your neighborhood and you started picking out everything you needed.

"Apples Strawberries Almond Milk Potatoes.." you listed as you dropped them one by one into the cart

"Di we have ramen?" Henry asked

"No I don't think so" you said resuming your list "Pancake mix, dumplings, rice..."

suddenly dozens of ramen packs and cups were dropped into the cart

"Henry!" you whisper shouted "This is way too damn much!"

"But I like ramen" Henry pouted with that face of his

you laughed "Okay then can you help me with the rice please?"

Henry leaned in to pick up the rice bag from your hands but you blushed as you realized how close you two were. Henry dropped the bag in the cart and looked up at you and blushed when he noticed you blushing. Henry And you really had a lot to catch up on. you grabbed his cheeks and rubbed his face with your nose as he smiled back at you.

"Welcome home" you said

Henry kissed you once twice and then all over your face

"Thank you sweetheart"

and as much as you both enjoyed staring and smiling at each other in the empty aisle your stomach roared. and at that moment you wanted to die because Henry and maybe even the whole store heard it Henry just bursted out laughing

"lets hurry up and go make kimchi fried rice already" you groaned in embarrassment

Henry watched you as you quickly added a couple other things to the cart and pushed it out of the aisle

"But what happened to French toast?"
