Chapter 47|Lip Syncing

Chaeyeon's pov....

We finished recording all five songs in a week and the music video will be recorded in China and Vietnam, i just have to wait for the choreography to be finished and i will start practicing.

The choreography have intense movements even on high notes except for the long high belt note, so i learnt the choreography at home. I called Hyolyn unnie over at YG so that she can monitor some of my mistakes, i decided to sing live while dancing.

“Wow!! you are good, wow”, she said clapping hands and my manager agreed too

“Really?”, i asked sitting down next to her and she passed me a bottle of water

“Mmh, people might think you are lip syncing ”, she showed me a video she recorded with my phone and it really sounded like AR

“I guess my training paid off”, seeing that i was not even out of breath i couldn’t help but brag with a mischievous smile and they all shook thei heads

I didn’t bother myself to diet since i still have to gain few kilos but none of the methods were working, we went to shoot the music video by the end of September and i was happy to wear all expensive
clothes and jewelleries but i was sad that i didn’t get to go home since the schedule was tight.

My solo debut was finally announced mid October that i will be debuting with a mini album on the 5th of November, they even opened my official youtube channel “Ttong_Yeon Official”

While everyone was busy preparing for my debut i was busy providing fans with some live mukbang videos on youtube, fans kept asking if i won’t gain too much weight but i told them i need to eat in order to have energy to promote on stage and let the topic go.

Finally my debut is here, I saw the girls and my unnies showing me some love by posting the poster on their Instagram and i saw my girls in china promoting me on Weibo and i just liked everything. I got a notification that Hyolyn unnie was live on instagram and i ran over to spam her comment section.

“Unnie”

“Unnie, can’t you see my comment?”

“When did you bleach your hair, it’s pretty”

“Unnie!!!!”

“Omo, my munchikin is here. Annyeong Chaeyeon-nah”, Amen she fnally noticed me

“When did you bleach your hair?”

“Yesterday, do you like it?”

“mmh, it’s nice. you look pretty”

“Thank you Chaeyeon-nah, aren’t you suppose to be practicing today?”

“It’s tirering, i’m on eating leave hehehe”

“hahaha.. you are still eating even with your comeback close? weren’t you eating on youtube an hour ago? have it digested already? hahaha, sometimes i wish i could eat like during my comebacks”

“Hehehe, they didn’t tell me not to eat. Unnie have you pre-ordered your album already? you promised to be the first”

“hahaha, this money gulliber thing, i did the day they announced that the pre orders have started”

“oh, let me sleep. i have practice tomorrow”

“make me proud on stage, love you”

“love you too, bye”, i stopped commenting and just watch the live and her fans were asking if she have listened to my song

“mmh, i have listened to it and it’s kind of addictive. Last time she invited me to monitor her practice and i was suprised that she could sing with such intense choreography, i’m not exegerrating but if it was not that there was no backing track i would have thought she was lip synching but she told me that when she was back at home she took some extreme strength preserving classes. Omo, did i give out a spoiler? hahaha, lets not talk about her song or i will end up revealing everything unknowngly. You guys should check it out the day after tomorrow when it get released”

I logged off and drink hot water since i just ate oily food, i must take care of my voice. Tomorrow i will be monitored by all my seniors before my final stage on monday so i must save my strength and rest today and treat myself with a nice meal tonight, i spent the rest of the day stretching at home.

I ordered full herbs chicken with jjajangmyeon and ate watching a movie, after finishing my chicken i went to sleep. I woke up in the morning around 8am and decided to skip breakfast, after taking a quick warm shower and change to my black sweatpants with black sports bra and loose black crop top.

My manager came around 9 and we left at 10 since the practice is scheduled at 11am, suddenly i was feeling nervous.

“Oppa, who do you think is going to be there?”

“Probably GD, Bobby and Mino but i don’t know about others. Are you nervous?”, he asked laughing

“Mmh”, though i'm close with many people at YG there are some people who i don’t know and not famillier with

“Just relax and go with the flow”

When we arrived i went to the bathroom first, when i arrived at my practice room everyone was already there and when i say everyone i mean everyone even some actors and some trainees and dancers and Mr Yang. I just froze at the door seeing these people

“Annyeonghaseo”, I greeted everyone walking in and indeed there were some people that i don’t even know

“Oh, Mr Yang you are here too?”, my nerves calmed when i saw him

“Mmh, everyone don’t be too serious you are scaring her”, i nodded pouting

“Mr Yang aren’t you spoiling her too much? For us you were never this lenient”, Chanhyuk oppa said and everyone agreed

“Don’t mind them just relax, is there any problem you are experiencing while practicing?”, he asked worried

“Food”, i said in serious tone

“Isn’t there food at cafeteria”, Teddy oppa asked

“Fried chicken it’s not there”, i said pouting and everyone laughed

“Tong tong, i meant issued regarding the song and choreography if you need some adjustment”, Mr Yang said shaking his head

“Oh, the only problem i have is with the backing track. I think we should remove it because people might think i’m lip synching, I don’t think there is a need to use backing vocals”

“How about you just show us what you mean”, Bora unnie said

“Ok”, suddenly the mood got serious and i signaled my back up dancer to come

I sang with the backing vocals and people were surprised that i was right so Mr Yang told me to try without backing vocals and it was still the same, I could see a proud smile on his face and it just boosted my confidence.

“How are you able to breath?”, Saeron unnie asked and everyone agreed

“Aren’t you tired? because you don’t look like it. some of us after performing we be gasping for air like there is no tomorrow and you just performed twice in a row and yet you are still breathing just fine”,
Hoshi said shaking his head and i just laughed

“I see what you mean, what does everyone else think?’’, Mr Yang asked looking around

“I agree with her, she should sing without backing vocals”, Jennie unnie said and everyone agreed

In the end everyone agreed on no backing vocals, Mr Yang bought lunch for everyone and my fried chicken.
