Lilly's P.O.V

Addison was sitting on the bed, her knees drawn up to her chest, rocking. She gasped when she saw me jumping to her feet. Her eyes wildly moving between me, Killian and Mik, who were twisting my knife in his hand. She moved into a corner of the room when Mik pocketed the knife, then closed the door, locking it.

I looked at her. Her face didn't ring any bells, and I didn't feel any kinship towards her either. It was like looking at a stranger.

"Really, Killian? You f**ked that!" I spat.

She wasn't anything special. Her blonde hair looked like she'd dyed it over her kitchen sink. It looked over-processed and like strings of straw that had been left in the sun. Her body wasn't anything to write home about either. She looked used up and washed out, and definitely not like a woman that Killian would go for.

"In my defence..." he trailed off. "F**k, I don't even have a defence. It was a lapse in judgment, baby."

Mik chuckled. "More like temporary insanity."

"Please don't hurt me. I'll do anything." Addison cried.

The way she looked at Mik and Killian clearly stated what her 'I'll do anything' meant. She made me sick.

"Not even if my f**king life depended on it." Mik shuddered.

His reaction and the scorn on his face almost made me laugh. Jessy would be proud. Killian, on the other hand, remained silent. His eyes were deadly cold as he looked at her. He didn't have to say anything, his look said it all.

"Why don't you take a seat, sweetheart? No one wants to hurt you,"

I pointed to the bed as I took a seat in the chair opposite it. Mik and Killian stayed behind me, leaned up against the wall. Ready and waiting in case she grew brave enough to try anything. Although I didn't need their protection, I appreciated the gesture.

She looked at the bed then back at me. I motioned again to it, encouraging her to get comfortable. She drifted her body against the wall, her eyes never leaving me. She looked like a scared cat that was backed into a corner with no hope of escaping.

When she was seated, I called Levi asking him to get her something to eat and some clean clothing. I wanted her as comfortable as possible.

"Look, Addison. It is Addison, isn't it?" I asked.

She nodded her head wildly. She didn't question why it was that I didn't know her name when we were supposed to be cousins. I guess she already knew the reason since she possibly had a hand in it.

"I don't want to hurt you if I don't have to. You're my cousin, Addison. We're family and family must stick together. This can all be over if you just cooperate with me, okay?"

It was a lie. I wanted to hurt her, but as Mik said, I had to be smart about it. She was going to die, there was no question in that. I just had to make sure it wasn't linked back to us.

"How's uncle Joey?" I asked with a bright smile on my face.

I watched as she assessed me. Trying to gauge whether I was being genuine. I kept the smile on my face and smirk inward as she started relaxing a bit.

"H-he's okay." She stuttered, still shaking.

"Oh my god, I miss him so much. From what I remember, I was his favourite niece." I sighed with a little giggle as if remembering.
