One date turned into two, then into three, then into ten – in a matter of weeks, Felix somehow became Hyunjin's official boyfriend, and the basketball player never had any qualms confirming that fact to anyone who dared to ask. It instantly ripped Felix's "social outcast" title away from him and, before he knew it, he was... popular.

Hyunjin's light was so radiant he got to bask in the afterglow, and people were finally noticing him. They'd greet him in the hallways, sit next to him in class, volunteer to partner up with him for projects, and even started asking him to hang out at lunch with them. While a tad overwhelmed, Felix was genuinely happy about finally being acknowledged, and he just couldn't bring himself to stop just yet.

It was fine. Hyunjin was happy and Felix was happy – what did it matter if those feeling stemmed from some sort of magical influence? He'd break it up soon, he just wanted a little more time in the light before he was mercilessly shoved back into the shadows.

"Felix."

"What—Hyunjin! You scared the crap out of me!"

Felix placed a hand over his heart, exhaling deeply. The last thing he expected was for Hyunjin to sneak up on him like that while in the library. Still, he was always happy to see his boyfriend, so he went over to him and gave him a quick hug.

"Did you need anything?"

"You didn't answer my text, so I got worried. I came to check on you."

"Your text...?"

Confused, Felix pulled out his phone, and realized he'd put it on silent. Hyunjin had effectively texted him, but it was a simple "Lix?", nothing else. He couldn't help but feel like Hyunjin had maybe overreacted a little, but he decided not to mention it. Hyunjin probably had something important enough to say that it warranted coming to see him.

"Well, what is it?"

"Nothing. Like I said, I just wanted to check on you. Don't put your phone on silent again, it makes me worried when you don't answer."

"Err, sure..."

Satisfied, Hyunjin kissed his forehead before walking away. Felix stared after him, a tad confused, but ultimately decided not to question it, figuring it had just been one of Hyunjin's weird whims.

It wasn't just a whim – soon enough, it became a pattern.

Hyunjin would constantly corner him. He'd come find him in the library, he'd wait outside his classrooms, he'd even pop up at random at his dorm. He kept on texting Felix all the time, even during the night and, if Felix didn't answer in the following minutes, then he'd come and "check up on him".

He started following Felix around, too. He escorted him to and from his classes, to and from his dorm, they shared every single lunch and dinner together, and every single second of free time Felix had was spent with Hyunjin's arm slung around his shoulders. And, when Hyunjin had duties he couldn't skirt like his basketball practice or a match, then he would insist on Felix coming to watch. Now, Felix wouldn't have minded coming to watch his practice and support him during his matches – what he did mind was how Hyunjin didn't leave him a choice in the matter.
