Sick-leave
Sora had spent the entire day confined to her room. Ever since they came back from camp, she had been suffering from severe leg pain. She had taken a holiday from school. It was evening already. Her phone rang. It was from Akira. She had been expecting this.
Sora: Hello?
Akira: You okay? Why didn't you come today.
Sora: Leg pain. Can't even move.
Akira: I see.
Akashi: Hello?
Sora: Is this a conference call again?
Akira: Yeah. Wait, the others are picking up.
Akashi: Why didn't you and Kuroko come today?
Sora: Leg pain. Wait. Kuroko-san was absent too?
Akira: Yeah. At first we thought we just didn't notice, but as it turns out, he really was absent.
Sora: Wonder what happened.....
Akashi: You okay now?
Sora: Somewhat.
Akira: Oh and I have a message from coach.
Sora: From coach?
Akira: Yeah. She asked me to tell you that since you might be unable to do much, five laps would be enough.
Sora: Akira.... I can barely move you know.
Akira: Just passing on the message.
Sora: ...... Is there any chance that you could lie to her? Just this once?
Akira: Done.
Akashi: I'll tell her you know.
Sora: Shut up. You're not in the equation.
Aomine: Hello? Himeji, you could have told me that you and Tetsu were bunking. I would have joined you!
Sora: Aomine-san, we're not exactly bunking.
Satsuki: Hello? Sora-chan? I heard you have leg pain.
Sora: *curious* How did you know?
Satsuki: It's a secret!
Kuroko: Hello?
Aomine: Tetsu! You bunked without me!
Kuroko: Aomine-kun, I wasn't bunking. I can't feel my legs at all. So I didn't come today.
Sora: You too?
Kuroko: Sora-san, were you on leave too?
Sora: Yeah.
Murasakibara: Sora-chin, Kuro-chin, you should practice harder.
Sora: I know.....
Midorima: Leo is eleventh today. Aquarius was eighth. You two were wise, nanodayo.
Akira: What? Aquarius is eigth? Why the hell didn't you tell me? Anyway, I didn't bunk like them......
Yukiji: What sort of day did you have today.
Akira: Never you mind.
Midorima: This just proves it, nanodayo.
Kise: Hullo! Kurokocchi! Soracchi! Why didn't you two come today-wu!
Sora, Kuroko, Akira, Akashi, Aomine, Murasakibara, Satsuki, Yukiji, Midorima: *chorus* Leg pain!
Kise: Oh. Get well soon!
Sora: Don't worry Kise-san. I'll be back tomorrow. What about you, Kuroko-san?
Kuroko: It's the same here.
Akira: This settles it then! Alright you two. Go rest. Otherwise you won't be fresh tomorrow.
Sora: Right. I'll be off then.
Akashi: Himeji. Laps.
Sora: I'm not doing them!
Akashi: And tomorrow is Friday.
Sora: On second thought..... I don't know if I'm coming tomorrow.
Midorima: Tomorrow's the thirteenth, nanodayo. This is also a wise decision.
Sora: It's not that!
Akashi: You are coming tomorrow. Or I'll really tell your coach.
Sora: On second though I'll come....
Akashi: Good.
Sora: *laughs* After all, very few get the chance to spend Friday the thirteenth with a genuine psychopath......
Akashi: Psychopath.....
Sora: Did I say that aloud........
Akira: Is this the part where someone corrects it to 'high functioning sociopath'?
