Y/N's Pov
I couldn't keep up. They overwhelmed me with their sheer numbers, and while I was distracted some of them broke off and unleashed everything they had on the Grimm. Before I knew it, I was standing alone. I had no choice. I ran. I had failed.
I fought alone for another year. I just reeked havoc wherever I got the chance, but I had no purpose left. Eventually it dawned on me that I had one option. Get the lamp. It was out of the vault, and I knew where it was. It had one question left. I snuck in and took it, and as team RWBY was coming to get it back, I said her name.
Y/N: "Jynn." She came out and froze time around me. "How can I undo this?"
Jynn: "You can use this lamp to send a message to the past, but it will cost your soul."
Y/N: "Do it." I sent it to my past self and Yang's. I needed to make sure they didn't let the gods come back at all.
Yang's Pov
We arrived at where Y/N had taken the lamp. When we got there, he was on the ground dead with it next to him. I shed some final tears for him. He had wasted everything and here he was now.
