How she's everything to me

But we're a million worlds apart

༻───────────────༺

SHE SAT IN FRONT OF the fire of the still and empty common room, leaning against the loveseat as her hands weaved around to embroider flowers into her blanket, Bao Bao accompanying her, asleep on the armchair opposite of her while her mind was in deep turmoil. What did he meant by that?

"Wait — what?"

"You heard me right," he said as they stopped in front of the door. "I don't think we were anything less than friends,"

"But friends don't kiss on the lips, Harry," said Lucia, perplexed.

"Yeah, well, I dunno anymore," he said. "I know I don't observe well, but I can tell that she still wants Cedric."

Lucia could only stare at him. Frankly, that fact was evident, especially with the many times Harry had told them of how Cho cried so many times randomly at the mere signs of memories she had with Cedric.

Perhaps, Cho wasn't ready mentally to be in the relationship again...

"You think you're just a rebound?" Lucia's voice softened.

Harry gnawed his bottom lip in confliction, "Of course — I shouldn't be feeling that way. She's been my crush and all, but lately? I dunno anymore... It's like that feeling isn't much there... and it isn't like we're 'together' anyway. I think that fight just further my expectations that we will never be together together,"

Was that fight concluded the end of Chorry's none-existent relationship, or was there more to it than meets the eye? Was it perhaps her fault — maybe even Hermione's? Why were they never official anyway? Were they hesitating?

Lucia was lost.

There were so many questions that she was sure would be left unanswered, which only further her irritation, but what could she do? She didn't want to pry in their relationship openly. But she felt terrible.

Why? Because she was being such a sly fox and feeling slightly happy for other's misfortune.

To punish herself, she pricked her fingers continuously with her needle, trying to get it to bleed. How horrible could one be to be so happy for other's misfortune? Lucia felt so wrong for even existing now, for her desire was starting to prove how much greediness could affect one's human nature. She hated the feeling of liking the fact that Harry and Cho may not be together anymore, but at the same time, she was hoping for more.
