(Chapter 112)
Sick of this society

Author POV

Jimin could practically taste freedom, it was close less than 3 days till he was free from the Omega camp. The 2 months duration had felt like the deepest depths of every nightmare Jimin could concoct in his mind.

He now knew how to be perfect and subservient, was he going to follow the 'appropriate teachings' simple answer: no.

He had channeled his anger into writing, lyrics and a book as well. He wrote of every experience he could from start to beginning of his life as an Omega idol, he was going to publish, inspire people. Push for change, he had that opportunity and I was going to grasp every part of it possible.

The most difficult thing had probably got to be the disconnected location of the camp. He felt so isolated from the outside world, like he was in a bubble with no outside noise. He hated it.

Saylin, who had become a comforting companion in the camps had been freed from her imprisonment about a week ago, he was sad to see her go but he had wished her well.

He had spent many nights curled up in the nest that felt too small compared to the one at home. It didn't stretch long enough for 7 people and that felt wrong.

His wings had begun to strengthen he had taken to doing the stretching and strengthening routine his doctor had recommended when he was bored. He had probably overdone it but his back muscles had begun to build up again. They felt stronger this time.

One thing that probably helped that was the lessons he had taken on posture in the Omega etiquette classes. He stood straighter and it helped ease his back pain, but that was about the only benefit from the camp.

He had cried a few nights, he wasn't afraid to admit that, the scents locked in the scent bears his Alphas had gifted him helped through those nights. His face pressed into the bears tummy, breathing the scent in deeply.

A knock on the door and someone entered. They never asked permission, the knock was to signal they were there, nothing more.

"I suggest you pack your stuff up, you are being released at 10am on Friday morning. Be ready for then" the woman left swiftly after that, they never stayed long. Something Jimin was thankful for, they were prickly and often sub gender orientated, they wouldn't be working here if they weren't.

He went through his stretches again, feeling his muscles tense and release. He raised his wings up, smiling when they complied and without the ache of pain. They hadn't completely healed in the feather department but they were getting there.

He began to pack up as they had recommendeded, it felt exciting. What had his mates been doing while he was gone. He hoped they were well, if they were working on a new album. If so he had a few songs of his own, boredom can influence the mind.

The only things he left out were the blankets on the bed, he slipped everything back into the case and pushed it back under his bed.

The room felt as sparce as when he had first arrived. He walked around the walls rubbing his scent along them again, making the space feel more comfortable.

At one point he had tried with the bear, but the scent of his Alphas while strong in the bear were unable to transfer across to the walls of the bare room. It had been one of his most desperate moments, when his mind had felt close to breaking.

That night he had started his book, began to write to get it all out. It was therapeutic, letting his mind refresh from the pressure and stress that had built up over time.

The next 2-3 days could not come faster.

It was Jungkook and Taehyung he colluded with first. They hadn't been able to resist the urge to run to him, the energy of youth on their sides.

They slam into him with force, not actually thinking out how they were going to stop. Jimin ended up as the buffer almost toppling over from the sudden acquisition of weight on his front.

"Missed you" Jungkook whispered, his face pressed into Jimin's neck, right over one of his scent glands.

"You can take it off" Jimin gave him permission, Jungkook pulled away the scent patch and sagged in relief when the scent of blueberries was released. Taehyung did the same for the other side.

Taehyung didn't verbalised his feeling of missing the Omega, but Jimin just knew, his actions said it all. The others had caught up by now, immediately Jimin was surrounded on all sides.

But what surprised him the most was how the Alpha's allowed their wings to brush along eachother. That was new, Yoongi and Namjoon weren't though. They stayed alittle further out of the circle but their presence was comforting as well. Jimin smiled at them, full and real.

Their answering smiles were soft in a way that was reserved only for Jimin. The others pulled back after leaving their scent everywhere on Jimin.

It was Yoongi who pulled him in first, the hug was voiceless but Jimin could feel from the way Yoongi pulled him in tight and seemed reluctant to let go. His scent was intense but calm, like he had finally been able to take a breath of fresh air.

Namjoon was the final one to pull him into a hug, his seafoam wings pulled around him tightly, he was surprised he hadn't cried, there hadn't been a need.

He had no tears they had been spilt in the camps, and now he could fill his heart with contentment. Back in the arms of his Alphas and able to walk back to his freedom.

Unchanged would be a lie, stronger would not. The camps didn't break him, it taught him how to break the system and he was going to crush it and watch it crumble like dust from his fist.
