(Chapter 19)

Lasts steps to a dream only imagined

~*~
Author POV

13th June - debut day.

Jimin had been looking at his phone calendar for about 30 minutes by now. All the singing and dancing would finally be critiqued. They were set to perform tonight at the junior concert (it was a concert used to demonstrate new upcoming and newly debuted idols). If all went well with the performance and they were seen as having potential then they would be releasing their new song (No More Dream). And that would come in the form of a music video they were yet to produce.

They had their outfits sent to them that morning. It was now early afternoon. Around 2pm they were set to leave to the concert stadium at 7pm and to perform at 9pm.

It had suddenly in that moment felt so much more real. Even as a trainee it felt like it was a distant dream and now I was literally being advertised right infront of Jimin's eyes he couldn't help but hesitate. Once he took this final step he would be in a spotlight and hiding his secondary gender would be even more important than it was already now. He would have to play the part as the Beta of the group well, he had been playing this character from the age of 18 but never had he been an idol, this time it would be different.

"You alright Jiminie" Jin came up to stand behind Jimin. His purple wings were slightly dragging along the floor.

"Yeah thanks Jin-hyung" Jimin responded almost mechanically.

"Can I tell you something?" Jin asked as he walked around to perch himself on the back of the sofa tilting his head down at an angle to try and catch a glimpse of Jimin face that was still glued to the screen of his phone.

"I'm scared" Jin admitted.

That got Jimin's attention, his head snapped up to look at the eldest.

"Scared?" Jimin questioned.

"Yeah. I am the eldest of the group I have a responsibility to look after all of you. I am the hyung." Jin began.

Jimin nodded he lent against the wall so that he was opposite to Jin. Attention fully upon the Alpha. Jin wasn't usually one to share the stress that he was feeling. He wanted to be seen as the strong one, the one everyone could go to for advice.

"But I have seen how the hyungs of the idol groups are viewed. Most of the group will go to them for advice. But I don't know if I am the best person for that. I just don't know-" Jin cut himself off mid sentence. His posture changing so that he had begun to pull in on himself. Fingers playing with one of the blankets that had been draped over the back of the grey sofa.
