(Chapter 1)
Seafoam and salt

~*~
Author POV

Jimin skittered to the outside of the company building. He has been in an apprehensive mood all morning. Nervous and excited all at the same time.

He had managed to put his trousers on the wrong way around and his shoes on opposite feet. But then again he could wear his shoes on either feet they were so big. Hand-me downs downs from his older brother. The elder was clearly an alpha.

Stereotypical idealistic. Strong, commanding, stunning ruby coloured wings. His brother Park Jihoon demanded attention and respect where ever he went. And Park Jimin was left to fill his shadow and try to walk in his overshadowing footsteps and quite frankly the shoes were to big to fit, metaphorically and literally.

But that had never stopped Jimin he was a Park after all, known for their stubbornness and determination. He was not one to back down from a challenge. Well unless it was too risky and not worth the cost than that was understandable. But to achieve a dream he has had from being a young fledgling till now, at 20 years old there was no risk to big.

So that led him here.

Outside Bighit Entertainment.

The biggest Kpop idol industrial company. All the stars who debuted from this company became big. That was Jimin's dream. To become a star, to dance and perform on stage infront of audiences and hear them scream and cheer for him.

But there was alot of risk to this. You see Omega aren't allowed to have jobs. Especially jobs in the entertainment sector. They were expected to stay at home, cook clean and look after fledglings. To please their Alpha.

They could listen, but never perform.

Jimin was going to perform. To dance and no one, especially not some stupid knot headed Alpha's were going to stop him.

So he fixed his collar and brushed some of his wing feathers into shape.
Steadied his breathing and walked through the doors. He was immediately overwhelmed.

The scent of Alpha's was overpowering strong. But still he steeled his face and walked to the reception desk.

A beta woman sat typing on a computer. But looked up when she saw Jimin. She saw his muted wing colour and immediately assumed he was a beta like her.

You see there were defined wing colours to help someone identify a person's identity.

Bright and colourful colours were for the Alpha's. They were loud and dramatic colours, designed for attracting attention and for show. They were also useful for attracting a mate. An Alpha's wing size dwarfed Beta and Omega wings by a drastic amount. They showed power and undeniably who was in charge.
