(Chapter 16) Ruffled feathers
~*~ Author POV
The whole apartment was tense. It was less than a week till they were set to debut. They would all be leaving tomorrow for their visit to their family homes.
But currently they were all holed up in the apartment. They had been told to rest. Bighit wanted them in the best condition possible. So currently there was 6 stressed and anxious Alpha in the apartment.
The whole apartment was drenched in the scents of the Alpha. It was overwhelming. It was difficult for Jimin to be at the apartment at all. The scent alone made his inner omega want to whine and solve the problem as to why the Alpha where releasing their scent in such suffocating amounts.
Hoseok the ever hyper sunshine was irritable. He didn't like being holed up in the apartment. Noticing it was a nice day (thankfully the freak storm had only lasted a week. Plus they had fixed the air conditioning problem and banned Namjoon from ever touching it again).
So Jimin went to Namjoon and Hoseok's shared room. Knocking he waited.
"Hi Jiminie" Hoseok came to the door.
"I was wondering if you wanted to go on a walk with me" Jimin said pulling at the ends of his longsleeve t-shirt. Now that he realised it, it did seem alot like he was asking Hoseok on a date. But the smile was worth it.
"Yeah!" The happiness returned to his favourite sunshine. He spotted Hoseok pulling on his shoes.
"Alright let's go, where did you have in mind?" Hoseok said, taking Jimin's arm and leading him towards the front door. He was secretly trying to quicken the pace, if the others didn't see them leave then they wouldn't ask to join.
Hobi wasn't usually a person known for jealousy, but he wanted to spend time with their Beta. And the fact that Jimin had sought him out over everyone else did stroke his ego just a little bit. (He wouldn't at all be bragging about this later to the others).
They left the apartment before the others spotted them.
"I was thinking of going to the river, maybe getting an ice cream. A last treat before we end up on strict diets." Jimin suggested.
"That sounds great" Hoseok said. They walked side by side in comfortable silence.
Navy wings a stark contrast to sunset orange wings. Although Jimin had only been living with the members for almost 2 months he had really grown comfortable around them.
They arrived down next to the river, the sun was hot on their backs. Causing them ruffle their wings feathers to try and dispel some of the heat trapped between the layers of feathers.
"Look Jimin that icecream shop is open. It is the one Tae recommended to me. Want to try that one?" Hoseok said.
"Ok" Jimin said. He was excited, he felt like he and Hoseok were breaking the rules, seeing as they weren't supposed to be eating to much junk food as not to gain weight. But here they were rushing to an ice cream shop.
Hobi took his hand to pull him along faster, he noticed the queue was growing and he didn't want to wait long. It was already hot enough as it was. Jimi allowed himself to be dragged along by the Alpha.
Soon they had secured their place within the queue. A reasonable way back.
"Why did you ask me today, I thought you would have asked Taehyung to come with you. You two seem to be close" Hoseok wanted to know.
"Hoseok-hyung you're like a human sunshine. Your energy is infectious, but seeing your shine dim over the past few days made me feel sad. So I wanted to make you happy again." Jimin said as he pulled on his shirt sleeves again.
"Aish your so cute" Hoseok said beaming smile on his face as he pulled the smaller Beta towards him. Jimin allowed himself to be pulled into the side hug, careful not to bash wings.
"Thanks" he muttered face pushed up against Hoseok's chest.
"Since you suggested coming out, I will treat you. I will pay for your ice cream" Hoseok declared.
"No it's fine, you don't need to" Jimin rushed out.
But all Hoseok had to do was put on a pout and puppy dog eyes and Jimin relented his arguement.
He found himself standing by the river pear ice lolly in hand. Hoseok had chosen a cornetto style ice cream with bits of popping candy inside it. He jumped alittle every time a piece of popping candy caught him by surprise. Jimin found it endearing.
"Want to have a picture taken?" Hoseok suggested. After they had finished their ice cream and ice lolly and placed the wrappings in the bin.
He pulled out his phone, they pulled up next to the river. Huddling close together they took a photo, bright grins on their faces.
"Would you like your photo to be taken together?" An elderly woman suggested.
"If you wouldn't mind thank you" Hoseok bowed to her offering his phone out.
She took it. Hoseok jogging back to Jimin. He pulled him to his side, they both put on genuine smiles. Posing slightly.
Soon the lady handed his phone back.
"You're such a handsome couple" she stated.
"We're not a-" Jimin didn't get to finish the sentence because Hoseok interrupted.
"- thank you." He said, holding Jimin's hand and interlocking their fingers. Jimin blushed, pulling up his free hand to cover his pink cheeks.
"I recommend taking as many photos as you can, to remember even the smallest moments. We didn't have cameras like you have when I was young, I have so few photos of my husband an I. Cherish the moments" she said and distant look in her eyes.
"We will thank you" Hoseok bowed slightly to his elder. As did Jimin.
Hoseok hand never left Jimin's for the rest of the walk. And Jimin found that he didn't mind that.
Hoseok definitely bragged about that when they got home.

Another chapter. Honestly I don't know where all this inspiration is coming from. I don't have pre prepared chapters. I have written over 8000 words roughly in 3 days.
But hey 4 updates in 3 days is better than I usually do. I think I am going to keep on going while I have the inspiration, it's not often this happens.
