It is reported from Al-Lajlaj bin Hakim Al-Sulaymy Abu Khalid رضي الله عنه that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said:
"When Allah predestines his servant to a high position which he cannot attain by his works, Allah tests him with whatever he has in his body, child or property.
Then he is patient with it until he reaches the high position that Allah Almighty has predestined him to reach."
