A man told me he heard the Prophet ﷺ say:
"Whoever repents of a sin before the soul reaches the throat, Allah forgives him."
الخطيب في كتاب "التاريخ" - 317/8
This means that every person in this world has time until the last second of this life to leave sinful things and come to normal life. So, since we do not know when our life will be shortened, we should constantly ask the Lord of the Worlds to forgive our sins as our Prophet ﷺ taught us.
May Allah help us in this and accept our repentance!
