The heart of the repentant is filled with bitterness, remorse and fear, and the more serious the offense, the greater these feelings are. Among the indispensable consequences of right repentance is a special humility that seizes the heart and is incomparable, and which no one experiences except the one who has sinned. Those who find nothing of the sort in their hearts may doubt the rightness of repentance and set about correcting it again. In reality, right repentance is not an easy thing. And for those who are sincere, there is nothing more difficult than sincere repentance.
