I scrunched my eyebrows together in question after ending the call.
"what happen?" August question, noticing my expression.
"y'all know a artist named Nyjel Laurant or some shit?" I questioned.
The name sounded kinda familiar I just couldn't really put my finger on it.
"oh yeah , the singer." Aug nodded.
"ain't he gay?" Quan added.

"Wait hollon, he a gay singer, I thought the nigga rapped or some shit." I spoke.
"no, I mean he kinda gives off that vibe, but he's a singer, he reminds me of Brent honestly." August added.
"well what's this I hear bout him bein' gay?" I questioned.
"he came out a couple months ago, it was this whole big thing on social media, baby how you not remember this?" August chuckled.
"well if it ain't my business, I don't give a fuck." I responded with a shrug.
"I mean, I remembered who he was." Quan defended.
"congratulations, since he gay maybe he'll fuck you." I teased.
"man watch out." The smaller responded bitterly, diverting his attention back to his phone.
"He's fine as shit, If I wasnt with Jay—"
Moment I realized what Aug was about to say I cut my eyes at him and he shut up immediately.
"nah what was you bouta' say?" I questioned, raising an eyebrow.
"nothin," he spoke, staring out the window and avoiding my eyes.
"mhm, imma have to handle that." I nodded, we gon have to christen the new loft anyways.
"anyways, why you ask all that?" August then questioned, changing the subject.
"My label just told me we gotta do a song together." I explained finally.
That's when Augusts eyes went wide , even Quan looked up from his phone.
"wow, thas' uh, wow—" Aug mumbled.
"whas that mean?" I questioned.
"I guess it's cause Nyjel kinda established inna' industry. I mean he's up and coming like you, but he's been doing it a lil longer. Plus he's gotten a lot of attention cause of his sexuality." Quan responded.
"I wonder why they havin y'all work together.." he trailed off.
"It's cause they're both gay, and both appealing to both genders." August replied simply.
"it's just a marketing scheme. Both the Heterosexual and Homosexual communities are predominantly attracted to masculinity, y'all's label probably wants to capitalize off that." He added.
