"Okay the moment you guys land, call me." I told both Kierra and Rashad who I'd invited to the fenty show. I even payed for both of their flights since everything was so last minute and I really wanted them there.
"We got it August, Lordy." Kierra sighed, truth be told I'd given them this run down about five times, I just wanted everything to go right.
"Okay, okay, I'm about to leave for my own flight—I love y'all !" I told them seriously.
"We Love you too," they replied before we all hung up.
"baby cmon!" Jayce announced from the front area of our apartment.
"On my way!" I announced back, grabbing my suitcase before heading out
"ready?" He questioned.
"Mhmm," I nodded.
"Nervous?" He smirked.
"A little bit." I chuckled honestly.
"don't be, you got this shit," he spoke as he opened the door and stepped aside for me to walk through.
We'd gotten a driver to take us to the airport so we didn't have to worry about driving. This was cool, like we were all really about to travel LA and it was for something that I was doing. It didn't even see myself modeling a couple weeks ago and now I can't see myself doing anything else.
"I really wish Quan could come..." I spoke as we stepped into the truck.
"yea me too, but that nigga is not hearing nothing from nobody—he dead set on flying back out to chicago today." Jayce responded sadly.
"Did you try and talk to him again?" I asked.
"yeah I called him but he still saying the same shit," my boyfriend sighed, "he not even listening to nyjel no more.."
"Damn I don't want him going down there." I mumbled.
Back into that life with weird ass people life Devon who never had his best interest at heart, it just sucked so much.
"Yo this video goin' so stupid already." I heard Jayce mutter while looking at his phone.
"what video?" I questioned.
"Hood Fav'," he answered, "shit doing dumb numbers—look." He showed me.
Once I looked at his phone my eyes did indeed go wide at the number, "wait how long has it been out officially?" I asked.
"Like two days," he explained.
"that's crazy," I said in shock.
"I know right, but my label said one of my verses blowing up on tiktok so it's kinda going a lil viral right now." He added.
I nodded before speaking again, "have you looked?"
"I saw a couple niggas gettin' sturdy to it but I ain't know it was like that." He shook his head.
