"y'all got sum' smaller?" I questioned as I eyed the charm that the lady had showed me.

"Of course," she nodded, "do you have any idea of a size that you're looking for?" She then asked.

I'd come to a high end jewelry spot downtown to pick up a gift for August. I'd gotten all my chains from here, plus the stuff I got Aug for his birthday and his cousins funeral too.

Still, I wanted to get him another necklace, even if he didn't wear it—I didn't wanna show up empty handed.

"nah not really, just show me sum' smaller." I replied.

The woman nodded and politely dismissed herself before heading to the back, when she returned again she had a different charm in her hand that was perfect.

It was a small diamond 'A', which of course would be good since it was the first letter of his first name.

"Yea Thas' fire, Lemme get that." I nodded, "lemme get a 'J' one too—but I want that one a lil' bigger." I informed.

"Of course sir, just give me about five minutes." She smiled.

I nodded and stepped aside as I waited for her to return.

When she did, she showed me my items one last time before allowing me to match the purchase.

"how much?" I asked.

"Alright, for both charms, and the ropes that come with them—you're looking at," she paused as she read from the screen, "$90,007."

I nodded and pulled out my card, "bet," I replied, entering it into the payment device.

After the payment went through and I was allowed to take what I bought—I of course made my way out of the store and began to leave.

The ringing of my phone grabbed my attention and I pulled it out—spotting Quans name on the screen.

I smiled to myself and answered it, immediately hearing that annoying ass voice that I'd actually come to miss.

"Damn—I almost thought you wasn't gon answer, being a stranger and all now." He joked.

"nigga whatever," I scoffed, "you the one that's been playing French princess lately."

"see now you doin too much," he shot back, causing me to laugh, "you act like I wasn't the only one to visit you in that rehab shit."

"You the only one I allowed," I laughed, "but I do appreciate it Quan—I'm just fuckin witchu'."

"—I was around you too damn much apparently, I don' caught myself saying 'folks' like three times." I added.

"good, get all that new york shit out 'cho system and speak like you got some real chicago education." He joked.

"nah puttin' chicago and education in the same sentence is crazy,"I replied, which made him smack his lips.
