The Holy churches are a place of worship for the god that protects this world. There is one of them in every empire. They were made to protect the empire from falling into the dark hands of elves or other evil. The priests and the nuns of the church also have divine magical powers to protect the empire and they are operated by the great sages indirectly.
It is also a place of worship for the public and is very much honoured for their purity.
"I don't think the great sages know about what was happening over there...But the weirdest part is that they mentioned of holding a ceremony for someone named Sophia!" Laura says
