Y/N POV

I just sat with my back resting against the wall, eyes closed. I didn't even bother looking at the orange ray shielded door in front of me. It was foolish for the Jedi to even remotely think this would be enough especially if there were only two Jedi here.

In the neighbouring cell, I could hear the Jedi in the process of their interrogation of Gunray. Shortly after we'd reached the brig, they'd begun working on him, it seemed they'd already clicked that he would be the weak link in getting any answers out of him.

I could hear that Senate Captain Argyus talking to the Clone Commander the cells. The Captain asked "How goes the interrogation? Has the Viceroy cracked?" The Clone responded to this, saying "Not yet, Neimoidians are a slippery but the Jedi will ware him down."

From Gunray's cell, I could hear Luminara's voice speaking "Your thoughts betray you Viceroy. I can sense your concern. The fear that you will lose the wealth and the power that the war has given you."

Gunray's voice responded "I have no idea what you're talking about!" Again, another attempt to breech the Viceroy's mind. "You hide a great many things Viceroy. The names of your secret allies, the locations of their bases." Gunray whined "I am an innocent pawn in all of this!"

Luminara simply replied to this by asking. "If you are merely a pawn, then who are you protecting?" Gunray exclaimed "No one. I know nothing!" And it was now that the Padawan could be heard yelling. "Liar, LIAR!"

There was the sound of a lightsaber igniting before the Padawan threatened "Tell us what we want to know right now! Or I will gut you like a Rokaria'n dirt fish!" Gunray let out a screech and I heard him fall to the floor.

This was followed by the Luminara giving a lecture "Padawan! Terror is not a weapon the Jedi use!" The Padawan went right into making an excuse. "I wasn't serious, but the only way he'll talk is if he's scared enough."

I finally chose now to remind the two Jedi of my presence. A low chuckle escaped me before I said "Oh, would you look at this. So, the Jedi are willing to use fear if it suits their purpose. HAHAHA! What a joke!"

I heard the sound of the ray shields on Gunray's cell shutting off for a moment before turning back on. Soon Luminara and the Padawan came into view, they were about to enter the cell when Luminara was stopped by the Senate captain.

"General, I must request you hand that to me before going in there." I noticed he was pointing to my confiscated Lightsaber which was currently hung from Luminara's best. next to her own. She tried reasoning. "It will be quite safe with me Captain."

The Captain however was insistent. "I must insist General, I cannot risk him getting his hands on it. It will be safe with me out here. You have my word." Luminara just sighed before taking my saber and handing it to the captain before the shield was opened.

The two Jedi were now stood directly in front of me. Luminara just stared at me blankly for a moment before asking "What is your plan Y/N?" I raised an eyebrow in confusion "What do you mean?"

Luminara explained "You disappear shortly after Dooku. The Shipwright's Guild suddenly became silent under a new Minister who only takes on very selective clients. This was you?" I raised my hands saying "Guilty as charged."

This was what provoked Luminara to ask "And how did you become Minister? Did you know who the Minister was beforehand?" At this, my demeanour completely shifted my grin was replaced with a scowl.

I got to my feet quickly and spat "I killed him BECAUSE of who he was. That scum got what he deserved!" This sudden burst of rage caught the Jedi off guard and even the Senate captain outside had wide eyes. I just glared for a moment before sitting back down.

There was a moment of silence between us before Luminara asked another question, clearly aware she'd got all she could out of me with that last one. "Why did you leave Y/N? You said no word to anyone except Kenobi. And what he said sounded cryptic."

My grin returned. "I told him the truth. Of course you never thought about this did you? It's simple really." I paused for a moment before answering properly. "You Jedi have become delusional, too focused on following your corrupt Republic. You think yourself superior to the rest of us for your warped vision of what's good."

The Padawan quickly remarked "Oh, you think you're any better? I've seen the weapons of war you've made! Your Malevolence destroyed hundreds of ships without mercy!" I just turned to her with a blank expression.

"I do not have to explain myself to you child. You know, I must thank you, R3 told me how helpful you were in completing his mission. If it wasn't for Skywalker's dumb luck, he'd have succeeded in wiping both of you out before either of  you could bat an eye."

The Padawan gained a look of anger as I continued. "Oh yes, R3 was mine. And he did his job to the letter. A pity the job wasn't completed." Luminara snapped "Y/N!" I sat back and stared at the two.

"I'll tell you this, since you're going to all this trouble. I may as well give you some information." I paused as they looked at me with scepticism. "The Force may be split into light and dark, but the morality of this galaxy is far from black and white."

The Padawan asked "What's that supposed to mean?" I shot her a glare, spitting "Be quiet and I'll tell you?" I shook my head in annoyance before turning back to Luminara. I began to explain. "I've seen how corrupt this Republic is. They didn't lift a finger when the Trade Federation invaded Naboo, instead two Jedi went along. However, when systems want to leave the Republic, oh no! We can't have that! Build a Clone army to force them under our thumb again. And you Jedi are content to do just that." I closed my eyes again, sighed before glaring at them.

"And you shall one day learn the error of your ways."

As if perfectly timed, there was the sound of a distant explosion that caused the entire ship to rock. Luminara turned and headed to the ray shielded door. I heard the Clone Commander demanding "Commander! Status report!"

I couldn't hear, however Luminara quickly left the cell and gathered around the communicator for a moment before she looked up and said "Commander, I'll need your assistance." They were about to walk away when the Padawan tried tagging along, saying "Let's go."

Luminara stopped her though, ordering "You will stay here with the Captain and the guards. Guard the Viceroy and Minister." The Padawan once more tried complaining "But-." She was cut off by the Jedi Master's cold stare. This caused her to bow her head, saying "As you wish Master."

She began walking down the hallway, I heard Gunray taunt her. "It appears you are in no position to negotiate after all Padawan. Perhaps after my rescue-." The Padawan turned and remarked "Rescue? Maybe they're here to make sure both of you won't talk."

I ignored her, sitting back. Unduli didn't know this, but by leaving the Padawan here, she'd made a major error. It was time for me to make my move. Clasping my hands together I grinned and stared at the door.

Waiting for the exact moment to strike...

Author's Note: And that's it for this chapter. In the next one we'll see Y/N's plan of escape leading up to his fight with Luminara. I really hope you liked it and as always, thank you for reading.
