Y/N POV

"Count Dooku has assured me that the Republic forces are stretched thin in our sector. They should be unable to mount a counter attack. Any attempt to do so would be suicide." Tambor's overconfidence was beginning to annoy me.

I stepped forward and stated "I heard the same reports Emir. However this IS Skywalker we're talking about. If he wants something, he won't care who he has to disobey to get it. But I'll give him one thing, if knocked down it won't be long till he gets back up. Commendable."

Tuuk chose now to add "And his defeat, will be our ultimate victory." Tambor looked between the two of us confused as he asked "You two admire Skywalker?" I simply answered "He has shown talent. Despite my opinions on him as a person, he's a respectable leader." Tuuk nodded in agreement before saying "His records also show he is a great warrior. And I want him to know, it is I who has beaten him!"

I stared at the captain blankly, not bothering to correct him as Tambor hung up. I went back to staring directly ahead, out into the void of space. Waiting for the imminent return and whatever tactic Skywalker had up his sleeve...

Timeskip...

"Sir, an enemy ship is emerging from hyperspace." One of the droids informed.

Tuuk stated confidently "I knew he'd be back." Turning to me he added "It seems your prediction was right after all." It was indeed, looking directly ahead, I saw a Venator ship, still somehow in flames slowly approaching.

The droid then added "There is an incoming transmission sir." I knew exactly who this was given the timing. I turned to Tuuk and stated "You remain here and run a scan of that ship, see if we can get any ideas as to his plan. I shall handle this."

The Neimoidian seemed disappointed however he knew not to refuse. I was his superior, the only reason I'd valued him as an equal up to now was his strategic mind was extraordinary. Now though, I had focus on other matters.

Standing up, I told the droid "Put it through." I turned to the back of the bridge. One of the unique aspects of the Lucrehulk control ships were their unique communicators, almost taking on the form of a gateway, to channel the image in front of me.

And sure enough, there was an echoing noise followed by the familiar voice. It seems he wasn't expecting me as I heard him speak straight away "Greetings Captain, I'm Anakin Skywalker-." I cut him off saying "I can hear you Skywalker. What do you want?"

Whether he was faking it or not, I don't know. But his eyes widened in shock as he exclaimed "Oh, Y/N, I didn't expect to get in touch with you directly. I'd have thought you would be cowering down on Ryloth's surface with Tambor, using the innocents as hostages."

I scowled, not missing his little jab. I spat "Very funny Skywalker. It seems we both managed to surprise one another." My glare only intensified, a snarl escaped me before I asked "I'll ask you this one more time before blowing your feeble ship to pieces. What do you want?!"

Skywalker's surprise vanished and was replaced with that signature arrogant look. "Well then, I guess you're getting a bit impatient." He paused for a moment before explaining "I have been ordered to surrender myself, the entire crew of this vessel and my ship. In exchange for safe passage of food and medical supplies to the people of Ryloth."

This caught my attention. I raised an eyebrow and asked "You're being serious Skywalker?" He nodded and said "Yep, I am." I wasn't entirely buying it, a bluff like this wasn't beneath Skywalker. I just had to keep him talking until our scan was complete, if I didn't like what was found, we'd destroy his ship."

I stated coldly "Oddly noble of you Skywalker. I must commend you. I must ask, this isn't a trick is it?" Skywalker was clearly feigning shock "What? Is this what you think of me? I would never bluff in a situation like this."

I let out a hum, about to bring up another topic before I suddenly heard Tuuk's panicked voice exclaim "No! You insolent scrap head!" I turned to face them and asked "What's wrong?" The droid he was talking to turned in my direction and informed something which made all too much sense but still brought shock.

"The ship is heavily damaged, all power is diverted to the forward shields, there is only one lifeform on board."

My eyes widened as it all clicked in my mind. Another trick! Turning to Skywalker who was now grinning at me. Tuuk snapped "Skywalker what treachery is this?! You have nothing to bargain with!"

I added "Really Skywalker? Is this what you Jedi have fallen to? False surrender? I'd say I'm surprised, but I'd be lying." Skywalker just retorted "In that case, I'll be going. Oh, you can still have my ship."

As if things weren't bad enough, one of the droids approached and proceeded to inform us. "Uh, sir. There's a second Republic ship entering the system." Sure enough, a look at our scanners showed a second ship emerging from hyperspace.

The first, damaged ship suddenly put full-power into its engines and sped towards us. I ordered angrily "Order all frigates to blast that cruiser!" The frigates received the order and did just that, raining fire on the already damaged ship.

Not that it did much good, the ship withstood all that was thrown at it! I soon understood what had to be done, I got up and walked towards the exit briskly. I knew I didn't have much time...

Mar Tuuk POV

As soon as Minister L/N had fled I knew we were done. One of the droids complained "The Minister's fled!" Another exclaimed "We can't stop it! What should we do?!" Turning to the commanding droid, I simply ordered "You stay here, I'll be back."

With that I also fled the bridge in the direction of the escape pods...

Y/N POV

I was just about able to reach the hangars and located the Sheathipede shuttle I'd arrived in, I didn't even wait for pilot droids, instead just boarded the ship and got in the seat myself. After setting the ship going I flew off out of the hangar, which I couldn't have timed better!

As almost straight after my escape, I saw the Venator COLLIDE with the sphere of the control ship, causing a massive explosion! And it was here I knew the fight was lost. In a shuttle, I couldn't do much fighting.

I did see the second Venator though, as it approached the exploding control ship, it began turning and showing its underside. This must have been Skywalker's strategy from the beginning. Without the command ship, the Munificent frigates wouldn't last long, they began advancing on the Venator in what seemed like an easy win however, if Skywalker was willing to make such a risky gamble, I had a feeling he'd have planned for this.

And that's why I saw no reason to remain here. In a swift motion I turned my attention down towards the planet myself. The blockade was as good as doomed, the Republic had won here, however I knew one thing.

That's when my transmitter started beeping, turning it on, I was met with a very angry looking Tambor who wasted no time snapping "What are you doing?! The blockade has been broken!" I glared down at him and snapped "I advise you not to take that tone with me."

He seemed to calm down as I explained "Await my arrival at Lessu, the Republic have a long way towards victory..."
