Reisuki is pronounced Rei-Suki. Like Katsuki and Mitsuki but Reisuki

Flashback

(The Phone Call, but in Radioactive POV)

"Her name was Reisuki Bakugo."

Radioactive, you liar.

'Bakugo? Bakugo Reisuki?! Wait, I read that on his record. She's dead.' Solus stated, thinking. 'It didn't have a lot of details about her... she was a... wait... a hero student, enrolled in the Shiketsu Heroes for Life Project... what else....'

I'll give her just enough information to know what's going on, but not enough to figure out where Reisuki is.

"She was kidnaped because of her quirk. They wanted to harvest the explodo stuff, that's my guess. On the note it also read that due to a genetic mutation caused by her quirk, she is immune to radioactivity." Radioactive explained, heart leaping up to her throat.

Please don't doubt it.

"Remember when one of the entrances to HQ Russia was nuked? I collected the sample from the bomb and Strike was able to make a nuke from that. The remnants of the nuke had small amounts of DNA. I didn't run any tests, I'm quoting Hive's chemical report."

'So you think All for One was also behind that nuking.'

Don't fucking interrupt! She wanted to scream. Radioactive has figured out the conversation entirely, and if it goes wrong she'll end up getting someone killed.

"Fucking exactly." She said, praying that Solus would get a hint.

'So why is he after Katsuki Bakugo?'

Radioactive sighed in relief as the conversation swayed back on track. She really sucks at lying.

"I'm getting to that. What I'm thinking is that Reisuki Bakugo is dead. All for One must've taken her quirk before she died, right? And he transferred it to someone else to harvest explodo shit from. Now, a regular person isn't immune to radioactivity, so they die after... my calculations say 2-8 weeks. Add on the strain of a foreign quirk, and they survive for 4 weeks tops. 2 weeks if they have another quirk." Right. Don't think. Don't think. Solus can't know yet.

She took a breath, continuing. "Everytime the vessel dies, he has to take the quirk away and transplant it to another person. He doesn't have the mutation that makes him immune to radioactivity either, so he gets damaged every time he transplants it. The minutes he has that quirk will pile up and eventually kill him."

Alright, that's just about all of it. One more chunk to go. Radioactive bit her lip, staring at the script on the table.

The white of the paper taunted her. A fume of anger rose up, and Radioactive spoke a bit more confidently.

"Now, Bakugo Katsuki and Reisuki are biologically related. Therefore there is a high chance that he also has the mutation." At this point, the graphite lines on the paper we're starting to blur. Just a few more sentences to go. "Even if he doesn't, All for One has a lab and can transplant Reisuki's mutation into him. On top of that, Katsuki Bakugo has been training his quirk. Since it relies on sweat, he must sweat more than normal people, so the production rate also goes higher."

Will Solus be suspicious of the lack of swear words? Probably. She should've added some in the lines.

This time, her mouth moved on autopilot, mind numbing as she finished reading. "So basically, All for One is after Bakugo because he wants to make more nuke juice and start a fucking war."

Drip.

Radioactive's eyes snapped open, and just then did she realize that she had screwed them shut. Good thing it was a voice call.

Her eyes zeroed in on the tiny wet dot on the paper.

Radioactive gritted her teeth, reaching forward and crumpling up the paper.

She gripped the remains in her hand as her quirk ignited the poor scrap of paper.

That felt terrible. How does Iceberg do it? How does he lie like that?

'You're too naïve' Kirai whispered in her head.

Shut up.

The paper burned to ash in her hand, the black char sharply contrasting her pale skin. Red flames rose from her hand before they disappeared.

Solus's voice snapped her back into reality.

'That... actually makes sense.'

Radioactive exhaled.

The lie tasted sour in her mouth.

She closed her eyes, leaning back in her chair.

Solus asked some more questions, and this time Radioactive just tiredly replied whatever came to mind.

Until she asked about Iceberg.

Radioactive didn't have the energy to deny it. So she just said some shit about not knowing the consequences to that and Solus said that she wouldn't tell.

Solus is a good person. Radioactive can tell.

"When she is ordered to do something, there's no stopping her."

Was Iceberg telling the truth? How would he know anyway?

Anyway, if it's true, that makes her a strong enemy, like it or not. How does she deal with that?

Well, the earlier lying was gut-wrenching, so that's not happening again.

Her phone pinged. It was a message from Solus.

Radioactive could text her. Something to break the way that she never questioned her orders.

Radioactive can tell that Solus cares about her.

This line of thinking was making her sick. She really shouldn't.

Who's fault was it, that things ended up this way?

Was it mine, for being too weak? Was it All for One's? Was it all of our mistakes, piled up and snowballed?

She picked up the pencil and took out a new sheet of lined paper.

To Solus.

You asked me before, why did I choose Radioactive as my code name?
It was because of spite. I was the one who ruined my own life. You see, I am Reisuki Bakugo.
Before I say anything else, there are two things you should know, 1. I'm not a spy. 2. This letter will ignite 40 seconds after you open it. Read quickly.

She read over it once. Twice. And then three times.

'Do you really trust her?' Kirai asked.

"I know her. " She replied.
