Aiyanna stopped her car on the side of the road and undid her seatbelt in hurry. Thankfully the car door that Jacob had flung open was still attached to it, although there was no doubt, it wouldn't close completely. Knowing the risk of having her car unattended, she jumped out of it and went over the barrier that separated the highway from the woods.

Jacob had found his way into the forest, which was where Aiyanna was headed by foot. She could hear his irregular breathing although her senses were not as heightened as when she would be in her wolf form to know exactly where he was.

She could also feel his presence, and she was sure of one thing. He had already turned. What she felt was twice bigger than the aura of someone human.

"Jacob ?" She followed the way her senses were guiding her to, calling his name. "Jacob !"

She walked deeper into the woods, so much that her car became tiny, seen at a distance.

The sound of pieces of wood, cracking under Aiyanna's feet as she walked on them was as loud as the sound of cars driving over 100km/h on the highway. Jacob's senses were on alert. His eyesight as long as his earing heightened too suddenly for him to be used to it. The sounds were too loud, and these moving images that were suddenly appearing in his mind were frightening him. It was as if he was watching himself run through the woods at a speed he knew he could never run at. Where were these images coming from ?

Automatically, Jacob tried covering his ears but when he did, a giant brown paw appeared in front of him instead of his hand. A frightened yelp came out from his chest.

Aiyanna used the sounds emitted by Jacob to get closer to his location. Thankfully, he had been so shocked by his appearance that he had stopped moving.

Her walking pace quickened, and the more she walked, the more she could smell Jacob's scent.

Werewolves scents were all the same. There would only be a slight difference between them that made each of them unique, but overall, their scents were very similar.

"Jacob."

Jacob startled at the clear sound of Aiyanna's voice. He hadn't felt her getting closer as he was still trying to understand the shape he was in. She was right there, in front of him, looking way smaller than when they were in her car.

Unlike him, Aiyanna carried a calm expression, as if she wasn't surprised at what she was seeing. As if she knew this would happen.

"Were you expecting this ? Why didn't you warn me ?" Jacob thought.

Jacob convinced himself that it was all Aiyanna's fault. She and Sam had planned to put this curse on him.

Confusion was now gone to let its place to anger. Everything was hot and red.

"What did you do !?" Jacob tried to shout at Aiyanna, but his words came out in this hideous yowling.

Jacob closed the distance between Aiyanna and him, but no matter how close he'd get, she stood still which irritated him more than he already was.

"Jacob..."

Jacob tried to grab Aiyanna and shake her, but she stepped back before he could reach her.

"Stop saying my name and tell me what I am !"

Jacob was quick to move forward when his front legs met nothing but the ground under him, and stood right in Aiyanna's face, his jaws aching to bite. But again, she stood still. He so wanted to take off that confidence off of her face.
