Cyrus's POV:
⚠️18+ In This Chapter⚠️
"Come on, Drew!" I call. I looked back to see him catching up to me. "Come on! Hurry, before someone sees us!!" I yell. Drew ran beside me.
We ran up to a gate. Drew pulled on it. "It's locked," He notes. I smirked. I grabbed the chains and pulled.
"Dang it. I thought I could break it open," I say. Drew placed his hands on the chains and heated up his body. The chains all melted right off.
"I'm a demon remember? I can heat up my entire body and even light myself on fire," He says. We opened the gates and ran inside. I looked around.
"Have you ever been in a haunted house before?" I ask.
"Nope. This is so cool," He says. Then he jumped. I looked over at him.
"What is it?" I ask, curiously. He shook his head.
"I thought that snake statue moved. Hey look! A clown!" He says. He ran ahead of me. I followed him down the hall. I ran around the haunted house.
"Drew! Do you see that? A fake spiderweb," I say. He touched it.
"Lame," He says. We heard movement behind us.
"Hey! There's two kids here! No kids allowed!" A man says.
"Crap! Run Drew!" I cry. We took off running. The man chased us around the haunted house. We ran downstairs and headed for a room.
Me & Drew hid under the bed. "Dude I'm scared! If they catch us, my Dad is gonna be so mad at me," Drew says. I held a finger to my lips.
"He won't catch us," I whisper. We watched as the man ran in and looked around. Drew suddenly screamed. I looked over to see a rattlesnake staring right at us.
We scrambled to get from under the bed. The man was about to grab us but he saw the snake. "God I hate snakes!" Drew yells. I held his hands.
"Don't worry! If a snake gets you, I'll kill it for you," I say. He smiled. Then he took off running. I ran after him. I could hear the man running after us.
Drew ran into a room with a window. I closed the door and locked it. The man began banging on it. "Come on, Cyrus. We can get out through the windows," Drew says.
He stepped toward the windows but fell through the floorboards. "Drew!!" I cry. He fell down further into the hole in the floor. I looked down and realized there was a huge pit of rattlesnakes.
Drew looked down and let out a bloodcurdling scream. "SNAKES!! Cyrus help me!!" He cries.
"I'm coming Drew!" I call. I eased my way over to him, trying not to fall through the floor.
"Cyrus!! I'm slipping!!" Drew cries. The door broke down and the man appeared. He smirked at me before transforming into a rattlesnake.
He slithered his way around me before wrapping Drew up. Drew screamed his head off as dozens of rattlesnakes climbed all over him.
