Storm's POV:

I stared up at the ceiling with my hands behind my head. A few nights ago, I found a cave. There was a glowing podium inside. I somehow made my way out of there.

Bailey found me wandering around in the clearing. She took me back to our dorm and scolded me for scaring her. If I didn't know any better, I'd say she really wanted to be my friend.

But then again, we have our moments where we don't like each other. When that happens, the thought of her being my friend flies right out the window.

"Storm, your sister want to talk to you," Bailey calls. She opened my door and threw my phone in the room. I glared at her. "What?" She asks.

"Do you know how long I've been searching for my phone?! I thought I dropped it in that waterfall!" I yell. She rolled her eyes and smirked at me.

"Well you didn't. I just hid it from you," She says. I clenched my fists. "You see Storm: me and you are alike. Except I'm a step ahead of you," She says.

"No you're not!!" I yell. She simply chuckled. "And how did you get access to my phone?" I question.

"I saw you type in your passcode," She adds. I stared at her as she stared at me. Then I smirked.

"Maybe we are alike," I say. She smiled.

"Glad you see it my way," She says.

"Oh I'm still gonna get you back," I say. She rolled her eyes.

"Anyways, you hungry?" She asks. I nodded as I set my stuff down. We both sat down and ate pancakes together. "So Storm, I got a question," Bailey spoke up suddenly.

"What's up?" I ask.

"I couldn't help but noticed the other day that you and your sister had this...energy between you two," She says. I frowned at her and sighed.

"That's because we don't have a close relationship. She's a world famous model and I'm...a bad girl," I say. She scoffed. "What about you?" I ask.

"Me? Well nothing about me is exciting," She replies.

I scoffed in disbelief. "Dude, you're a mutant that has neon powers. That sounds exciting," I note. She gave a half smile.

"It sounds exciting but it's not. Having to keep my powers under control and keep an eye out for magics," She says. I tilted my head. "We call magical beings magics while they call us freaks," She explains.

"Oh." I say, before taking another bite of my pancake. "Anything else? I mean you have two Dads. Must've been nice having a father figure in your life," I mutter.

"Yeah. Both of my Dads have given me nothing but love. My surrogate mother however...another story," She said.

"How come?" I ask, curiously.

"Well...she told me when I was born, she didn't want to give me up to my Dads. Of course her signing up to be a surrogate, she had no choice but she contemplated kidnapping me," She explains.

"Holy shit dude," I say.

"Yeah. But she couldn't do that to her friend...my Dad. So I do occasionally visit her but when I do....she's suffocating. She clings to me and wants to know all about me," She continues.
