Lesson 54

Gogo's P.O.V.

Astrid slowly reached for my hand, as the Haddock brothers approach the school, smiles on their faces as they saw us waiting by the gate.

I can feel my blood slowly boiling inside as I saw the face of Hiccup, but I remained calm not to embarrass my sister I'm front of the entire school. Hiro quickly ran towards me smiling like he haven't seen me for so long.

"You look..different today." He said. I forced a smile, even though I really don't wanna smile at all. Astrid let go of my hand, I look back at her and she was now walking with Hiccup inside the campus, she look back at me one last time and mouthed the words "I'll take care of this."

I just nodded my head. I turn to Hiro who was looking at the two, worry was in his eyes. "You okay nerd?" I ask him. Hiro look at me and smiled. "Yup." He said smiling even more.

"Let's go?" He asked taking my hand. We walked down the sidewalk hand in hand as we were both silent. I know what's the reason, but I can't let that affect us.

"Hey." I whispered to him. "Hi." He whispered back. And silence crept between the both of us again. Gods, its like were like the first time we met, a little Hi, little hello, then nothing, like nothing happened.

"So...what's up?" I ask him. "Oh nothing really, m brothers and I just played video games after we went home yesterday." He said, like he was avoiding to look at me.

Am I that scary? Or is it something else?

But we continued walking anyway. Suddenly, he just stopped making me stop too. "What's wrong?" I ask him. Suddenly he just turn to me pulling me into a kiss, his lips just smashed on mine, taking me by surprise.

I tried to pull away but he was holding me closer.

Dang it Hiro! Not in front of these people!

Hiro suddenly pulled away his cheeks were a bit red. "Sorry." He chirped. I glared at him, hitting his shoulder. "Nitwit." I hissed.

Hiro chuckled and grab my hand again, and started running making me run too. I suddenly remembered I was wearing a dress. Dang! I can't move fast on this one, especially when I'm just wearing a knee-high skirt.

"Hiro slow down!" I said trying to stop but he kept pulling me with him. "C'mon Gogo, we'll be late." He said. I groaned in frustration. If he hadn't said were gonna be late, I will never run like this.

We reached the school panting as we approach the building. Students started to look at us, or me. And there came the whispering again.

"Don't mind them, they're just jealous because your beautiful." Hiro whispered in my ear. I felt my cheeks flush red. Is this even a 14 year old boy? He acts like he's even more older than I am. Reminder I am the older one here.

The bell suddenly rang, making all the students ran to their rooms. Hiro and I reached our classroom, and found that the teacher isn't there yet, so we quickly went to our seats.

Since the teacher isn't here yet, I went to check my phone, and I got a message from my twin.

"Should I tell him sis? I'm getting scared." -Sent by: Twin Astrid 7:30 a.m.
I sighed, I look around first if the teacher is coming and texted my sister back.

"Try to stay calm sis, you can't let your emotions flow, you know what might happen. Don't worry I'll try to get to you at lunch." Sent to: Twin Astrid 7:50 a.m.

Before I can read Astrid's message,the teacher suddenly came and class had started.

Astrid's P.O.V.

After the second lesson Hiccup and I headed to the auditorium for our practice for the pageant.

I was remaining silent as Hiccup tried to make a conversation, he asked me if I'm okay, but I just nod my head, he tried to kiss me but I jerk away.

Even though I want to but I can't, not when I have confirmed if he's engaged to someone else or not.

"So, babe, you wanna go out after school?" Hiccup asked putting an arm around my waist. I just smiled and look away from him.

"Astrid is something bothering you?" Hiccup asked me as we stopped by the hallways. I look around and pull Hiccup to the back of the building.

"Babe, is everything okay?" Hiccup asked again. I sighed and look st him straight in the eyes, tears slowly forming in them.

I tried to speak by my mouth was glued on each other it won't open, until I found myself crying silently in front of Hiccup.

"Babe are you okay? Tell me." He said pulling me into a hug. I shake my head, as my mouth opened and spoke.

"Are you engaged to someone else?"

Hiccup suddenly froze from his position, still holding me closer. I pulled away, looking at him. "Are you engaged to someone else?!" I repeated but this time a bit mad.

Hiccup tried to hug me again but I push him away.

"Why didn't you tell me?" I ask him. "I-I'm sorry, I didn't even know that I'm engaged, I just figured out yesterday." He explained.

"Wait, who told you about this?" He asked. "It doesn't matter who told me." I snapped.

"Babe, I'm sorry, I didn't even want an arranged engagement, its my dad who wanted me to be engaged." Hiccup said pulling me into a hug. I didn't hesitate, cause maybe, this will be our last hug.

"I'm so sorry." He whispered, stroking my hair gently. I cried on his shoulder, hugging him tight, not wanting to let him go.

Hiccup then pulled away, and smashed his lips on mine, taking me by surprise, but I didn't hesitate to kiss him back. Cause maybe this will be our last kiss too.

We slowly pulled away, our foreheads still touching as I saw a tear fell from his eye.

"Please don't leave me." He whispered in my ear.
