"Ate, are you okay?" I worriedly ask my sister as she clutched her stomach. She look like she's really in a deep pain.

I furrowed my eyebrows as she nodded. Liar

I'm maybe a kid, a five years old kid but I am not naive, at a young age I started to learn things in order for me to help my sister and protect my twin, Saphire.

I rolled my eyes and crossed my arms. "You look like in pain, Ate."

Umiling naman ito at nagpapatuloy lang sa pagluluto ng babaunin at kakainin namin ni Saphire ngayong umaga.

Kagabi pag-uwi niya pa namin siya napapansin ni Saphire na parang may iniindang sakit. Saphire was worried but I told her not to worry too much because I know Ate is strong and I don't want Saphire to worry since it's just been months since her heart surgery, I don't want to see her in pain again, I'm her twin so I can feel her pain too but not as much as the pain she felt.

I know Ate is strong.

But no matter how strong she is for us, she can be really stubborn when she's sick, especially right now. And that is why we love her so much. She sacrifice too much for us when we are not her responsibility at all.

See? I told you, I maybe a kid but sometimes I think like I'm an adult already.

Perks of having a high IQ, modesty aside.

I was back in trance when Saphire hold my hand while looking at Ate worriedly.

"Assia, is Ate really okay?" She asked worriedly and tears start to build up in her eyes.

I can't lie to Saphire, she knows when I'm lying so I shake my head in responsed.

Lumapit naman ako sa gawi ni Ate at hinawakan ang isang kamay nito. "Ate, please." Punong pag-aalalang bigkas ko dito.

Akmang magsasalita pa sana si Ate ng bigla nalang ito napaupo at impit na napaungol sa sakit na nararamdaman. May mga luha na rin na lumalabas sa mga mata nito.

Napaiyak na rin si Saphire habang lumapit sa gawi namin ni Ate. Gusto ko na rin umiyak dahil ayaw kung nakikitang nasasaktan ang mga kapatid ko pero nilakasan ko ang aking loob dahil sa ganitong pagkakataon kami lang ang maaasahan ni Ate lalo't malayo pa ang bahay nina Tita Shans at Tita Saryia.

Nanginginig ang aking kamay na hinawakan ang balikat ni Saphire na patuloy parin sa pag-iyak ngayon. "Saphire, please be strong for me and Ate, okay?" Paalala ko dito dahil bawal pa siyang ma-stress.

Tumango naman ito.

"I want you to look after Ate, I'll just go to Ate's school and asks help for Tita Shans and Tita Saryia, okay?"

"W-what I'm gonna do?" Nauutal na bigkas nito habang pinapahid ang luha sa kaniyang mga mata.

Hindi ko muna siya sinagot at mabilis naglakad papuntang kwarto para kumuha ng unan. Pagkabalik ko ay sinabihan ko si Saphire na tulungan akong pahigain si Ate muna.

Ate's still writhing in pain that is why I'm starting to lose my focus. But I need to be strong for her and Saphire.

Pagkatapos mahiga ni Ate ay tumayo na ako at kinuha ang wallet ni Ate sa taas ng mesa bago binalingan si Saphire na pinapahid ang luha sa mga mata ni Ate.

"Saphire, be strong okay? I'll be back, I love you." Wika ko sa aking kambal bago sila hinalikan dalawa ni Ate sa pisngi.

"Assia, please take care, I love you." I nodded.

Mabilis akong lumabas ng bahay namin at sinirado muna ito bago mabilis naglakad papuntang sakayan ng jeep papuntang paaralan nila Ate.

Good thing I'm smart because I still remember where's my Ate's school is. I just don't know where her classroom. Pero bahala na. I just hope that I can see Tita Shans and Tita Saryia there.
