" Hi everyone , what's going on ? " Manan says as we enter Agarwal household .
" Hello ladies " I say greeting Manan and Ritika's mother's respectively .
" Akshu , you had your lunch " I asked making myself comfortable beside her on couch .
" Insulin ? " I added while she nods .
" my good girl " I say pecking her forehead .
" if you all are done romancing and whispering then please answer my question " Manan says teasingly looking at us and Ritika , Neena aunty .
" We are planning Ritika's baby shower " Akshara replies .
" Uh oh .. correction we are planning for our baby shower , Akshu " Ritika says .
" Um.. ours .. " Akshara wishpers while her smile vanishes .
" Come on , Akshu we both are giving birth and we deserve this pampering "Ritika says .
" Um.. Ritika you know na .. Um.. I mean " Akshara says hesistantly .
" Okay yes fine , it's just a deal and all but still you & I are going to have our baby shower together or else none of us will have it " Ritika declares .
" Ritika please ... " Akshara says .
" Akshu ... " I spoke only to be interupted by Kamya aunty .
" Akshu beta ..we all know the circumstances but that doesn't changes the fact that you are pregnant and it is affecting your health , your body and this is your baby too .. Akshu .. baby shower is a function in which mother and baby gets blessings so that they are safe and healthy during pre and post delivery phase . Baby shower is a blessing so that the mother which is you and the baby , this little one comes out healthy and safe from that labour room . It has nothing to do with your and Abhimanyu's relationship status or your deal . We do this so that the mum and baby are healthy , happy " Kamya aunty , Manan's mother says to Akshara caressing her face .
" And Akshu you have been carrying his baby for 7 months now , so you deserve this pampering and no one can say no for this , not even you " Neena aunty says eyeing me .
" Why are you eyeing me ? I am not denying , infact I was going to push her for saying yes " I said in my defence .
" Abhimanyu come on , you know you can't deny for anything in mom's presence" says Ritika .
" That's true " I say agreeing with Ritika .
" Akshara come on , now no tantrums , say yes " Manan says .
" quiet everyone , Akshu tell us whether you want a traditional baby shower like Riti or you want a modern baby shower , and what do you want to wear a gown or lehenga choli or anarkali .. tell us come on" Kamya aunty says .
" I .. um.. " Akshara stammers .
" Akshu .. what happened ? " I say as she burst into tears .
" Akshu .. beta .. shh did I say something wrong .. " Kamya aunty says consoling her and takes her into her warm embrace .
" You remind me of my Buama " Akshara says snuggling into Kamya aunty's embrace .
" Akshu .. beta calm down " she says caressing her back.
" Every time you call me Akshu , hug me ,console me , explain things to me you remind me of my buama always , I see my buama whom I lost to death in you " Akshara says sniffing .
