Aira
*Two months later*
I am seeing my doctor right now for the random dizzy spells and vomiting that have been happening to me lately. It didn't hit me to take a pregnancy test before she handed me one to take in the bathroom. Recalling back to my period cycle that did not exist since mine and Lex's first intercourse, I knew I was pregnant.
When the test came positive right in front of my eyes an instant gush of happiness rushed through me. I've always wanted a child but the thought that me and Lex were going to have another family and start our little family excited me more. He's going to be so happy when he hears this too... well hopefully.
He wasn't aware that I was out on an appointment today with the doctor otherwise he would have stressed everyone who did not need to be stressed. The reports of my positive pregnancy were in my hands and I just wanted to show them to Lex in the shape of a file and have him figure it out on his own. As I exited my Uber, Sophie's car came into my sight.
Hmm... that's weird. After that night Sophie did not seem to appear anywhere near Lex and neither did I mention her. I just figured she left or finally stepped away from him.
On my way up the stairs, I hear them both in my room. I instantly open the door to a heartbreaking sight. Lex is on the bed and Sophie is on top of him, kissing him. My love for Lex was sure fucking underestimated because I felt the part that loved him shatter into a million pieces in this moment. Lex aggressively pushed Sophie off himself when he saw me.
"Aira, it's not what it looks like," he instantly came up with an explanation.
But I ignored him and walked away, down the stairs with tears in my eyes. How could he do such a thing to me? I've only told him I've loved him twice but I meant it. He followed behind, chasing me as I ran out the gates and into the Uber that gladly was still there. Tears uncontrollably fell out of my eyes but nothing eased the tearing of my heart that continued.
"Ma'am, where to?" they asked, scared and worried at my expression.
I gave them Noah's location and the ride there was quiet. No comfort, no nothing. I held onto my child every time the sight of her kissing him came to my sight. It was so painful. It's like someone has ripped my heart out of my chest. My love feels murdered. Noah's guard allowed me in and thankfully Lex hadn't followed behind, or he must have lost me. Noah's mother who sat in the living area instantly jerked a worried response in her body and got up to take me into her arms. I looked devastated and on the verge of a heart attack.
"Aira," she calls for me with comfort.
I am unable to utter anything but cries. This pain was unbearable. She sat me down on the couch, handing me a glass of water which I rejected and continued to cry with uneven breaths. Then she gave Noah a call who arrived back home in minutes. He instantly took me into his arms after seeing the huge red eyes smudged with mascara.
"Aira, what are you doing here?" he tried calming me down with another glass of water which I rejected again.
Noah monitors my breaths, helping me get them back in sync. I tell him everything from the beginning about Sophie and even his eyes widen at her name. At her name.
"Do you know her?" I asked with a crack in my voice.
"We'll talk about this later. You need some rest right now," he responds, avoiding the question.
"No. I want to know right now. What has happened behind my back? I want to know!" I protested with a yell.
Noah rejects my question again and takes me to his guest room. He lays me down on the bed, covering me with a blanket. I beg for him to tell but he doesn't.
