Lex

*2 Years later*

I was currently returning back from a business conference that Aira did not join me on since one of us needed to stay back at the company. She knew of my arrival at tomorrow but I lied because I wanted to surprise her. Her manager told me she was currently doing a presentation when I arrived at the office with all the impatience I had in me to see her.

Walking in quietly from the door behind her, I lifted my finger on my lips telling the employees to stay quiet. As usual, Aira was bossing everyone around about all the ideas she had in her head but most importantly, I was glad she was bossing everyone about them. It took her a while to finally speak up after the incident two years ago and now that she was and had moved past it, I did not want to complain about anything.

Her voice was all I needed to hear and it was all I was made to hear. My arms lock around her stomach which stops her from speaking. She turns her head and finds me lurking behind her. Instant happiness spreads across her face and she jumps up and down with a gasp first.

"You said you were going it be back tomorrow," she shouts in excitement.

I keep her in my arms, looking at the gorgeous most magnificent smile no one in this world but her has.

"I missed you so much that I sprinted across these states and back. But if you really want me to go back," I threatened but she grabbed a hold of my hand.

"No, come back here," she instantly pleaded.

Our employees gave a little laugh at her reaction and I went to hug her from the back again. Aira notices and feels a little shy which causes her to try get out of my cage.

"The meeting's over everyone. I have some business to do with my wife," I openly spoke, putting my arm around her shoulder and ragging her out the meeting room.

"Lex, that was so embarrassing," she slowly talks covering her face with one hand.

"You're my wife," I reminded, making her blush further as we walked into my cabin.

With more of a private space, Aira stuck her body against mine and my arms snaked around her again. Walking her backwards to the couch, she knew exactly what was coming next.

"I'm so happy to see you, baby. You have no idea how hard survival had become without you," I bantered throwing her body onto the couch.

"Oh, that's new. Are you going to show me how hard survival still is with me?" she emphasised on the word hard with a tease as I leaned in to kiss her.

"You know me so well," I responded with my hands going to unbutton her blouse.

My tongue dived into her mouth getting the taste of vanilla pastries she's probably had today. Her hands rushed up my shirt but she disgusted a groan, breaking our kiss. Confusion lit my face as her hands pushed my body off her.

"Aira," I worried behind her as she covered her mouth with one hand and rushed out of my cabin to the bathrooms.

My hand rubbed her back watching her throw up a milky fluid. Pastries and coffee in my opinion.

"See, this is exactly why I ever refuse to leave you," I scolded as she rinsed her mouth.

Now on top of that, she gets a dizzy spell, falling directly into my arms.

"And I guess you've only had pastries today. It's past noon," she frowned with a pout at my bossiness.

"There were so many meetings," she softly excused with eyes that looked to hypnotise me.
