Julie's P.O.V

"You cut me open," Caitlin sang acoustically, following the dance steps that we've been directed to do. "And it's draining all of me. Oh they find it hard to believe, I'll be wearing these scars, for everyone to see." She sang, singing the high note. As soon as she finished Liz started clapping and playfully called out to Caitlin.

"That was great Caitlin, next I want... Julie up there." Gale said. I stood up and walked over to the stage, smiling at Kenny who was already waiting for me. He helped me to the stage and we listened as Gale told us where to start. "Okay, I want you two to start at 'closed off from love' and then do the dance routine we practiced an hour ago." Gale said.

I nodded and stood in front of Kenny, waiting for Gale to give us his infamous 'go' nod. Once I saw it, I started to sing. "Closed off from love, I didn't need the pain. Once or twice was enough, and it was all in vain. Time starts to pass, before you know it you're frozen. Ooh." I sang as Kenny put his hands on my waist, the way we've practiced before.

"Okay, that was great. Liz and Chris, you're turn- ah good, the boys are here." Gale said as the boys of One Direction walked in. We had to rehearse our dance routine for Wednesday with them, though there will be no dancing in that song. We just have to go over where and what to do. "Anyway Liz, I want you to take it from where you and Chris have your foreheads together. And I want you to finish the song, doing the echoes. I need to make sure your voice is strong enough or if I have to put you on vocal rest." Gale finished what he was saying.

I climbed off stage and walked over to where the boys and the girls were sitting. Liz stood up and I held out my hand, giving her a high five as a good luck. I then sat down where she was and looked up, watching as her and Chris took the stage. Gale was pacing back and forth, waiting for the two to get ready. "Start whenever you're ready." Gale called out.

Liz nodded and walked towards Chris, who placed his hands on her waist. I heard someone huff and turned to look, seeing Niall rolling his eyes. Liam whispered something in his ear that I couldn't hear, so I turned my attention back towards Liz.

"I don't care what they say, I'm in love with you. They try to pull me away, but they don't know the truth. My heart's crippled by the vein that I keep on closing. Oh, you cut me open and I..." She sang acoustically, singing the long note. I watched as her eyes squeezed shut as she went higher and higher. "Oh, you cut me open and I..." She sang once again, holding out the note again. Chris dipped her backwards, her hair falling underneath her and almost touching the floor.

"Oh, I keeping bleeding love. I keep.... oh you cut me open and I, keep bleeding, keep, keep bleeding love." Liz sang as Chris brought her up to him again, their foreheads pressed together for the final time.

"Great, great job you two. Liz, your vocals are strong. I don't think you need to go on vocal rest, but since this song does a number on your voice, I may put you on vocal rest tomorrow night. We'll see after the final rehearsal. Alright, let's get all the girls on stage. And as for you boys, I want you to pay attention for your cues. I'll be here to supervise your vocal ranges, see where things need work, and Tony will help you with the choreography. He's done all the choreography for the girls and I promise you, he's amazing." Gale said.

"Not as amazing as Ben though, right?" Liz asked from her spot on the stage. Gale looked over at her and smiled, laughing and nodding his head.

"No one is as amazing as Ben." He said.
