Caitlin's P.O.V

"Bye Brendon, I'll miss you so much." I said, hugging my best friend. His strong arms wrapped around my waist and he held me tightly. I was going to be away from home for so long, it's going to be weird not seeing Brendon every day. I'm sure that we'll text quite often but it won't be the same as talking in person. I'm going to miss him a ton, and I'm going to miss dad and Nancy so much.

"I'm gonna miss you too, Caitlin. But hey, you're going to have a blast in Maine. I'm sure of it." Brendon said, pulling away from the hug.

"Yeah, I'm sure of it." I said, my eyes skimming past him to check the time that was displayed on the microwave clock. It was nearing nine o'clock in the morning. "You should probably get going, your shift starts soon and I have to leave for the airport soon." I said.

"I know. I'll see you in a few weeks, right? And text me when you land." Brendon said. I nodded as he gave me one last hug before heading out the door.

I sighed sadly when he left. I wasn't happy to be leaving my best friend, but this was something that I had to do. I looked at the clock once more. My plane didn't leave until ten to eleven and it wasn't supposed to land until noon. I had been texting Liz on and off about the flight, and she has yet to hear from Julie. The only thing we know is that her plane lands at three.

I still couldn't believe that I was about to fly up to Maine and start working in a band. I was nervous for meeting with Julie and Liz. I was more nervous for being around Julie then I was with Liz. I feel like Liz and I would get along pretty well. She was quiet, but nice. Julie on the other hand, I was little bit scared of. She seemed like the type that could explode at any given moment. I don't want to get on her bad side but I have a feeling that I will.

"Caitlin?" I blinked back into reality, realizing that Nancy was waving her hand in front of my face. "Honey, you alright? Did Brendon leave already?" She asked.

"Yeah, he had to get to work. His internship is really important to him. And I'm fine, just a little nervous for today." I said.

"Oh, why?" She asked, setting her purse down to go through it. I sat at the kitchen table, watching as she double checked that she had everything.

"I don't know. I'm afraid that we won't get along. How could three complete strangers get on so well? I'm just nervous for how this is all going to work out. I don't want this to get ruined. It's my dream after all." I said.

"I'm sure it's going to go fine. There probably will be some fights and everything, it's natural. You three girls are going to be spending a lot of time together. You're going to be in each other's spaces and you'll bound to get on each other's nerves. Just keep your head up and try and get along as much as you can." She said.

I nodded in agreement. She was right. We probably are going to fight and it won't be fun all of the time, but I guess it's because we are still getting used to being together. We're bound to fight over things but I can't stop that from happening. I'm sure that within time we'll be able to get along. I just hope that Julie isn't the bitch that she seems to be.

My dad walked into the kitchen, running his hand through his gray hair. "Are you two ready to go? We need to leave now, you have to get there early." Dad said.

"Yeah, we should. I'm ready to go. My suitcase is already in the trunk." I said, standing up from the table.

"Good. You excited to go?" He asked. I glanced at Nancy, who smiled at me.

"Yeah, I think I am."

Liz: We are by the Starbucks in front of the airport. Do you want us to meet you at the gate?

Caitlin: No, I'll meet you there. See you in a few.

I slide my phone into my back pocket as I walked out of the gate. The Portland airport was big, but it wasn't that busy. There were huge windows that looked out onto the water and I could see seagulls flying around. The area already looked so pretty, I was growing excited to see Maine. I've never been here and it already looks so pretty.

It took me a few minutes to get up to the front of the airport and when I did, I looked around at all the chain restaurants that were placed at the front, trying to find Starbucks. I smiled when I finally saw the green letters and started to make my way over there.

Liz was sitting at a table, picking at a muffin that was sitting in front of her. A tall man was sitting next to her. His arm was wrapped around the back of her chair and he was talking to her about something that I couldn't hear. I started making my way over to her and when I was about ten feet away she looked up and saw me.

A smile appeared on her face as she stood up and started to walk over to meet me. I smiled when she finally stood in front of me. It looked like she didn't know what to do, hell, I didn't. She awkwardly put her arms round me and hugged me tightly. It was forced and just plain weird, but I hugged her back.

"It's nice to see you again," Liz said, tucking her hair behind her ear. It seemed like a habit of hers. "Uh, my dad is here with us, we were planning on going out to lunch before Julie's plane lands. How was your flight?" She asked, her blue eyes meeting mine.

"It was good, short. And lunch sounds good." I said, nodding my head. Liz smiled and took my suitcase from me. I was surprised by the gesture but thanked her. She nodded and led me over to the tall man that was beginning to stand up.

"Dad, this is Caitlin, Caitlin this is my dad Greg." Liz said.

"It's nice to meet you Mr. Johnston." I said.

"Thanks, it's nice to meet you too. I'm excited to see how well you and Liz and Julie do for your band. I can't wait to hear you three sing together." He said. I smiled, taking it as a compliment.

"Dad." Liz said, her cheeks turning red.

I laughed quietly as her dad took the suitcase from his daughter. "Well, why don't we get out of here and go to the restaurant." Her dad said.

We started making our way out of the airport after that. Her dad was walking ahead of us a little bit, dragging my pink suitcase with him. It was a nice gesture of him, it seemed like the Johnston family was really nice. Liz was walking next to me, quietly. I was quiet too, not knowing what else to say. There was a bit of an awkwardness with it, but nothing too bad.

It wasn't until we were heading towards the car outside that she finally spoke. "So, I was thinking when Julie gets here we can spend the day just getting settled in. You two will be staying in my room, there aren't any guest rooms. But maybe tomorrow we can just, hang out? We can get to know each other." She said.

I nodded my head. "Yeah, that sounds good. We should probably get to work soon though. I think it's important if we establish our work. I think that we should really talk about the look we should have and everything like that." I said.

"Yeah, yeah. But I think that it's important that we get along first." She said.

"Well, we'll have to wait for Julie to decide anything. I say for know, we just relax a bit?"
