Liz's P.O.V

The following days that followed the fight were long and quiet. Julie stayed out of our way most of the time, she wouldn't talk or look at us. She spent most of the time at the beach and would only come home when it was time for bed. I worried that she wasn't eating properly, that was until the second day when I saw my mom take food out to here. My mom knows that something's going on between the three of us, but she respected it and left it alone.

Caitlin was quiet too. I tried to talk to her, like I did with Julie, but I was just shut out. I didn't know how to help the two fighting girls. Things were going pretty good I guess, until we actually got to work. We should've gotten to know each other and saw each other as friends before we tried to get down to business. I knew something like this was going to happen, it was only a matter of time. I had a feeling that things weren't going to be smooth sailing from now on. I feel like there are only going to be more fights between the two and more times where Julie drags me across the mud.

I still don't understand what I did to make her hate me so much. At boot camp I never talked to her, the most I did was offer her a water bottle. How could she hate me because of that? I was just trying to help out and be nice. It's got to be something else, then. Maybe she was jealous of me? I don't see what she would be jealous of. She's ten times prettier then I am and I'm sure that she's a better singer than I am. Then again, I've never heard her sing. None of us have heard each other sing, which is probably one of the most important things.

It was nearing one o'clock in the afternoon when Caitlin came down from my room and into the living room, where I was sitting on the couch, an episode of That's So Raven playing on the TV. This was the first time that Caitlin came out of the room without being asked, so I couldn't keep the surprise from my face. Caitlin moved to sit down on the loveseat.

"We need to start working. We've already wasted four days, not including the day we got here. We can't fall anymore behind than we already are." She said.

I sighed and sat up straight, resting my elbows on my knees. "I know Caitlin, I know. We are so far behind the other groups, it's not even funny. We still haven't figured out if we can sing together." I said.

"We need to talk to Julie. We need to tell her that we have to set aside our problems and work on what we have to do." Caitlin said.

I wanted to tell her that that wouldn't work, that Julie burned too hot for that to slide. But Caitlin seemed so persistent that I nodded my head. She smiled and stood up, telling me to follow her. I did as told and followed her out the back door and onto my porch.

I looked around for Julie, finally spotting her down by the sand. Caitlin walked down the stone steps and all the way over to the fence, opening it up and then closing it. I copied her actions and followed her down the hill until we got to the beach. Julie heard us coming because she looked at us. She turned around before I could meet her eyes though.

I moved to sit down next to her and Caitlin sat down in front of us. "Look, we got off on the wrong foot. We shouldn't have said those things to each other." Caitlin said.

"I'm not looking for an apology." Julie said, glaring at Caitlin. Oh no. No more fighting. I couldn't take anymore fighting between the girls. I didn't want them to fight anymore. They had to get along for the sake of the band.
