Here is the next chapter! Just so you know, this chapter focuses a lot on their dialogue and how the girls have to work around each other.

Enjoy!

Caitlin's P.O.V

"So," Julie spoke up from her spot on the couch. "We really should start focusing on what type of music that we want to sing."

It's the day after we arrived her in Maine and it was almost one o'clock in the afternoon. We had already had lunch and Liz's family had went down to the beach for the afternoon, though we decided to stay. We've only got about three weeks before we head to the judges homes, so we've got to work fast. Ever since the topic of our music came up, Julie hasn't been able to shut up and it's beginning to piss me off.

"Well, I think that it's better if we try and get to know each other more." Liz quietly said, though it was easily ignored by Julie.

"I was thinking that we could sing a mix of an alternative sound with the mainstream pop sound. If we were to sing that then we would probably be able to attract a larger fanbase." Julie said. I didn't like the way that she ignored Liz. It made it seem like Liz wasn't important when she clearly was. She was one third of this band and she was important.

"But we can't get a fanbase if we don't make it past the judges homes." I said.

"Exactly. We need to try and find the proper sound if we want to get through." Julie said.

"But we need to make sure that we get along." Liz spoke up. Once again, she was ignored. I gave her a sympathetic look and she shrugged.

"We get along perfectly fine, none of us are arguing right now. Now, I was thinking that we could sing something by Daughtry or someone like them." Julie said, "I had a song in mind an-"

"Hey, why do you get to decide what type of sound we have?" I asked, fed up with the way that she seemed to be calling the shots.

"Well I'm the only one that's taking this seriously. You haven't said anything important and Liz keeps repeating the same damn thing every five seconds like she's from some mental house." Julie said. Liz's mouth opened in shock and I felt my anger boil over. Insulting me was one thing, being that I was the one who spoke up against her. But insulting Liz, who hasn't done anything, was wrong.

"Hey, that's not fair to Liz. She only wants what's best and if she thinks us getting along is what's best for us then she can say so. Maybe you should shut your mouth and listen." I said.

Julie's eyes narrowed. "We get along perfectly fine, Caitlin." Her voice was cold.

"Well obviously we don't, being that I want to slap you across your face right now." I said, standing up from the couch. I wasn't about to let her push me down and walk all over me. I wasn't the type to do that.

Liz grabbed my hand and pulled me down so I was sitting down. "Guys, cool it." She said.

I let out a breath of air and licked my lips. "We need to listen to each other, otherwise this isn't going to work." I said.

"Uh, well I was wondering, we could sing something by Katy Perry for when we sing for our judge. Maybe we could sing Teenage Dream or something." Liz said.

"Oh, I was actually thinking about that." Julie said, turning to look at Liz. "I thought that we could sing Home by Daughtry. It's  really great song. Much better than some Katy Perry song." Julie said.
