Liz's P.O.V

"They're starting to call people, I'm really nervous." I whispered, leaning towards Beck.

All thirty acts have performed, we broke for lunch, and the judges have had a few hours to discuss who was going to the judges homes. We've all been waiting here for what seems like hours. It was almost six o'clock in the afternoon, they have to be telling us who's getting through sometime soon. They had us all in a bundle of nerves.

It was funny in a way, there were only sixty of us total. Somehow after lunch we had all began to sit around each other. Beck and I sat with a few people we hadn't met yet and grew to be somewhat friends, though Beck is still the only one that I truly care for here. But we did meet some new people and it was nice getting to know each other.

Eventually other groups began to join other groups until every last one of us was sitting in a huge circle on the floor. It was terribly loud, everyone was having their own conversations. I recognized a lot of the people, although I haven't actually talked to them. The only people that I talked to and recognized was that brown haired girl and a few people I had talked to while passing out water bottles to.

It was nice having us all come together in a time like this. I know that we'll get closer when we get into the live shows, and that's even if I get that far. Though I'm sure that if I do get that far, we would almost be like family. I hope I get to experience that, I really do.

"Shh, we'll just have to see what happens." Beck whispered back.

"Liz Johnston." My stomach dropped when I heard my name being called. I slowly got to my feet, feeling my hand being grabbed and squeezed in a good luck sort of way. I sent a smile to Beck as he dropped my hand and then I started to make my way towards Mark.

"Caitlin West." He said, he was still calling people back. He nodded his head towards the doors and I took a deep breath.

Pushing the door opened, I could feel the nervousness in the air. There were about fifteen people in there and I was the next to join them. I pulled my hair back as I climbed up on the stage and stood next to a younger girl. The judges were all sitting around at their table, just talking and waiting for the rest of the people to come in here.

I must have been standing there for a good two minutes before I heard someone call my name. I looked to my left and saw that Beck had now joined the room. My eyes widened a little bit and I prayed for his sake that we were getting put through. I sent him a nervous smile before my view was blocked by a girl with pink hair, Caitlin was her name, at least that's what I think Mark said.

Another minute passed by before the doors finally shot and people stopped walking in. There was a total of twenty people standing across the stage. I was growing so nervous, I felt like I was going to throw up. My fingers were in my mouth the entire time, my horrible habit of biting my nails coming back with all the nervousness I felt.

The sound of a chair being moved back caught my attention and I looked over at the judges table, watching as Simon stood up. "Hello everyone, thanks for coming." He said. As if we had a choice.

"So I'm sure that you are all really nervous right now," Demi began as Simon sat down. "And I feel for you, honestly. Being a judge is really hard, especially when this part of the competition comes around. Telling people if they made it or not is hard to do and I'm sure hearing it isn't any easier."
