Chapter 34- Choose a Partner

I sat in the classroom being one of those girls. The girls with the trembling legs that started breathing heavy when Flynn was around. I didn't wanna be like them. I hated girls like that. It was probably the clothes. All plaid and girly...Okay maybe not girly, but I was freaking out. Biting my nails and staring at the back of his head. He kept looking back.

He suddenly turned around and looked at me. "Your book's closed."

"Oh,"I looked at my notebook.

".....I guessing you wanna partner up with Hayden."

"What?,"I looked at him.

"Mr. Roberts said that we need to choose a partner. I want you."

"I want you too,"I bit my lip. "I mean,"I grabbed my book," as a partner..Cause Hayden isn't here."

He chuckled. "Okay...Where is Hayden by the way?"

"I don't know."

"Shouldn't you call him or something?...He is your boyfriend, right?"

"Don't say that out loud."

Flynn laughed.

The bell rang. "Hey, what's the project about?"

He stood up. "....We have to right a dialog."

"Okay...About anything?,"I stood up.

"Yep."

"Wow..weird."

We walked out of the classroom.

"So, my house later or yours?,"he looked at me.

"Yours,"I pointed at him and smiled.

"Okay,"he smiled before turning around. "Oh, hey May."

MAY! I quickly turned around.

"Hey stranger,"she stood infront of me. "My GBF...or wait..are you Megan's, because she's going around boasting about how awesome you are, when you both hate each other."

"I don't hate her, May-"

"Loving the new outfit, though. Makes my whole colorful tie game look weak. Did she pick that out for you yesterday when you guys went shopping?"

"May, I-"

"May I what? You go to some stupid party and you turn into this totally different girl. You hated Megan."

"I disliked her attitude."

"Well I dislike your new one,"she started walking away.

"I'm same old Harley."

"Wait till everyone finds out you and Eva are faking it."

I ran over to her. "If you say a word to anyone, I'll tell everyone about the math test."

She frowned. "I wasn't blackmailing you, Harley. I'm not a bitch. Your lies are eventually going to come out. But since you're evil enough to blackmail me..I'll leave you alone." She walked away.

Tears filled my eyes. My whole day was officially messed up.

I rang Flynn's door bell and waited for him to answer it.

He opened it with a smile, but it went away when he saw my face. "What's wrong?"

"May..doesn't want to be my friend anymore,"I cried.

He hugged me. "Don't cry. I'm pretty sure she's just saying that."

"No,"I looked up at him. "She means it. I know she means it."
