~Destinee~

I kept my eyes down. I could feel his stare burning into my back. Oh, god. He was creepy and hot at the same time.

“Oh, Destinee?” Liam called across from me.

“Yeah?” I asked and looked up at him.

He started laughing. “I loved what you said to Zayn. That was the biggest diss ever.”

I looked down again. I wanted to avoid the subject as much as possible. I’m starting to regret saying that to him. It was mean…

I mean, yeah, I’m mad that he kissed me, but still…

I looked up just as the bell rang and stood up. “I’m gonna check if that kid’s lost or something. He seems like he wants to talk to me or something. Bye, guys.”

I felt someone grab my arm as I turned to leave. “No! You can’t!”

I gave Louis a puzzled look and pulled my arm out of his grasp. I turned to look back at the window, but he wasn’t there. What the…? Um, okay. Never mind then… “Oh, he left. Whatever. Bye, then. I’m skipping, alright?”

They all nodded and I walked out of the cafeteria. The halls were beginning to pile up with kids trying to get to their next class.

I looked around for that kid, but I didn’t see any sign of him.

I decided to head to the back of the school. Teachers that saw me passing by thought I was on my way to class so they didn’t bother with me.

Maybe he’s back there?

Wait, what the hell? Why am I looking for this guy?

I shook my head. Oddly enough, I felt some strange attachment to him for some reason. Just like… No. He’s nothing like him. I should really stop thinking about other guys other than Harry.

I rounded the corner of the back building and I saw him.

He was kneeling down with one hand on his throat and the other on the wall of the building. He was hunched over and I could faintly hear him swearing. Was he choking? I couldn’t see his face.

Then, he suddenly stopped moving and stiffened.

I ran over to him. I couldn’t see his face at all since his hood was still up and his hair was hanging over his face. I kneeled down beside him as well.

“What’s wrong? Are you okay?” I asked in a panicked tone.

“L-leave,” he ordered in a strained voice, which sounded a bit… fake? As if he was forcing it to be deep.

“Are you okay? What’s wrong? What happened?” I ignored his order and continued to worry.

Suddenly, things happened that I didn’t fully understand or realize until after they did.

He wrapped his arms around me, cradling me into his chest, and bared his teeth. I gulped when I saw the fangs. He knotted a hand through my hair and exposed my neck. My eyes widened as I saw his glowing red eyes through little snippets of his hair. I heard a growl rumble in his chest. He was furious and his fangs were long. His head went down, but he pulled back fast, avoiding eye contact and spoke with a tight hold on me.

“I told you to leave…” He whispered, then, with reluctance, he let go of me and was gone.

Holy shit.

He is a vampire?!

That guy is a vampire and he wanted to suck my blood?!

I got up and ran. I ran straight into the nurse’s office. It had helped that I had turned incredibly pale after that encounter and she asked me if I needed anything. I asked her if she could please get Louis and Liam to come in here. They needed to know that he is a vampire. No wonder the girls thought he was hot.
