Spock searched everywhere, but could not find you. He was having trouble calming his racing heart and the growing storm did not help. Losing all cares about public appearances, he found himself running through the halls of the Delegation building. Tears of his own threatened to fall as he practically tore the place apart. It was growing late when he saw hope.

Kirk was sitting at a table drinking Vulcan fruit juice, watching the storm tear through the New Vulcan city. Coming up behind him, Spock took a moment to calm his breathing and lose the moisture building in his eyes.

"You know Spock, when trying to scare someone, it's best not to sniffle like a weeping kid." Kirk turned with a sad but sure smirk on his lips. Motioning to the seat across from him, he poured Spock a drink of the strong liquid as well.

"Forgive me, Jim. It just seems that I have lost someone dear to me."

Kirk nodded and took another swig. "(Y/n). Yup, she was a right true mess. Told me everything."

A green tint flashed over Spock's face as he took a drink from his own glass. "Yes, well it seems I have upset her and I wish to find her and apologize."

"Well, you might want to do that quickly. She said something about leaving and joining Starfleet to become an ambassador or something. Anything to get away from what reminds her of you."

"That is quite helpful and reassuring Jim. I would ask you get lessons on bed-side manners from Doctor McCoy. He seems to grasp the skill to calm those he talks to." Spock took another drink.

"Look. All I know is that you are going to have to hurry. She left here not five minutes ago."

Spock's breath caught. He placed his glass down gently in fear of breaking it in his grasp. Gone? Now? Were?

"Did you happen to see in which direction she went off to? I hope you did not encourage her to leave so suddenly."

"I may be rash sometimes but I'm not stupid." He lifts his glass filled hand and pointed to a doorway leading out to the rain. "Somewhere in that direction. I think. All I know is, is that she said she needed to get home and meditate peacefully."

Spock rushed to stand up quickly, almost tipping his chair over backwards. "I would hope that you stopped her from going in the rain."

Jim shrugged as he took another sip of his drink, looking over the edge of his glass at his perturbed friend.

With a deep growl, Spock looked over at the rain and back at his somewhat helpful captain. "Pray that you are not here if I return empty handed." And with that, Spock took a fortifying breath and dove into the heavy down pour of rain and thunder riddled sky in hopes of finding you unharmed and welcome to his assistance.

Kirk watched as Spock ran head first into the rain. "You know for a Vulcan he doesn't use logic that much." He chuckled to himself and then stood up slowly. Now it's time to go get a towel for his soaked Vulcan friend.

No amount of shielding could stop the rain from pelting every spot on his body. Spock did his best to wade through the rain clogged streets to find your home, but it was getting harder to see the harder it rained.

"(Y/N)!"

His voice sounded muffled, even to himself.

"(Y/N)!"

Nothing shouted back but the wind and it's incessant howling. Spock turned around and looked back at the Delegate building. He was still close enough to see lights but too far to see Jim at the table. Turning back around, Spock gave another sweep of his current area before he moved on. Your house was just a bit off to the east of the Delegate building when he had helped relocate the remaining Vulcan survivors. Is it not just here? He reached his hand out but did not touch a building. Thunder shook his body as he gave one last final attempt at checking the area around him. He should go back now, while he can still see.
