A week passed since the wedding, which was primarily followed by silence. Mercedes had released her song, which went straight to the top of iTunes and was still there that following Monday.
Sarah had also surprised her fans with a new music video for her third single but it had been terribly overshadowed by Mercedes's comeback song. Even with Sebastian pushing for attention, booking her all sorts of promotional opportunities, it seemed unlikely that Sarah's single would take off as easily as they had hoped.
"I'm not just saying this because we're friends," said Cleo as they had one last coffee cup together before Sarah had to go out on promotion again, "but I truly believe that your new song is better than hers. For one the word count is much higher."
